Someone Is Supporting Casey Anthony & It Needs to Stop Now

This Just In 13

Casey AnthonyWell, it happened. Casey Anthony came out of hiding yesterday for a bankruptcy court hearing, and she was forced to talk about how she's been living for the past year and a half since being found not guilty of murdering daughter Caylee. And if you believe what's she's selling, I hear there's a bridge for sale between two of New York City's boroughs.

Casey was grilled by R. Scott Shuker, a lawyer for Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, the woman suing Casey for defamation. He asked her if she'd been approached to tell her story for a movie, book, or TV deal, but Casey insists she hasn't. Instead, she says she's living off the "kindness" of others.

She wants us to believe that her living expenses are all being covered via gift cards and cash given to her completely "unsolicited." But not from some media type trying to woo her.

That's funny ... because Casey's lawyer, Charles Greene, said more or less the exact opposite in January. Greene told reporters:

She wants people to just leave her alone. She’s had multiple opportunities to do tell-all book deals, to do tell-all interviews for a lot of money. That’s not what she’s trying to do. She wants this over so she can finally have the time to mourn, not only about the loss of her daughter, but the loss of her life.

Anyone else smelling a rat here? Casey says she hasn't dealt with agents or the media, but her lawyer says she has.

And on top of that, we're supposed to believe people are just giving her money and gift cards out of the goodness of their hearts? Really? A woman who 88 percent of America thinks is guilty of murdering her child (according to a Rasmussen survey)?

Something just doesn't add up. Either she's getting money from some scheme and not willing to tell us or she's got people who she's completely snowed. Either way, it's time they stop.

Casey Anthony is a big girl who got herself into this mess. She will never do anything worth doing if people don't force her to.

Who do you think is paying for Casey Anthony's life?

88 percent of the people who voted against her, you mean? How many people were actually involved in that survey? I know I didn't participate.

Anyway, what's done is done, if she is guily of this horrific murder, then karma will pay her back ten folds. If she is innocent, only God knows.

I don't like the woman, but she was proven innocent in a full court of law. Leave her be.

Coles_mom, I must politely correct you. Ms. Anthony was found "not guilty." There is really no such thing as being proven "innocent" in the American courts, simply "not guilty."

I hate this bitch. RIP beautiful caylee

I am not buying that at all. There is no way she is making that much money in donations considering she is the most hated woman in the country... smh. She's probably doing some cam girl work or something, LOL

'She’s had multiple opportunities to do tell-all book deals, to do tell-all interviews for a lot of money. That’s not what she’s trying to do.'

How does this quote equal that she has been in contact with agents or media?

Do YOU want to support her? I don't. There's nothing to stop her from collecting public assistance if she isn't helped by "kind strangers." I'd prefer not to support her with my taxes, so I hope whomever is supporting her continues.

Ms Sager - as a writer you should know how to read and comprehend. As in " multiple opportunities to do tell-all book deals, to do tell-all interviews for a lot of money" does not equal actually dealing with those making the offers....

Also, your statement "Either she's getting money from some scheme and not willing to tell us or she's got people who she's completely snowed. Either way, it's time they stop." As much as many, possibly most, of American believes she is guilty regardless of the verdict the truth is she does not owe you or anyone else any information on where her income comes from. As for those who believed her and thus are likely to support her - well it is none of your business how they spend their money nor is it up to you to decide they should not spend it as they choose.

Actually she does owe someone an explanation Nellie: the judge in charge of her bankruptcy proceedings. And the woman who is suing her for financial restitution for defaming her. Hiding assets during the bankruptcy process is frowned upon.

There is a big difference between demands to answer personal questions in a court proceeding and  demands from someone like this so called reporter. As for bankruptcy, she has to report income from a job though even then having a job does not preclude successfully filing bankruptcy if one's debts outweighs one's income. Being supported by someone else has no bearing one one's ability to pay off debts - speaking as someone who has supported more than one friend with a roof, food, gas money, etc, while they filed for bankruptcy.

And whatever portion of her income is coming from supporters it is none of our business who they are nor does anyone have the right to demand  that they stop spending their money as they choose.
