So, here's a new one for you: A woman was allegedly pulled over at a sobriety checkpoint in the Tucson-area of Arizona recently and, according to reports, wasn't just found to be intoxicated by police, but was found to be carting around her two teenage daughters with her, as well as a bloody stabbing victim.
Just another day at the office, huh, Officers?
The woman is 42-year-old Rebecca Gomez, and she was arrested on one count of aggravated DUI for driving under the influence while driving on a suspended or revoked license, and two counts of child abuse for, well, supposedly having her kids with her while doing so. Way to class it up, Becky.
As reports say, Gomez pulled up to the checkpoint at around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night, and police noticed a large amount of blood on the driver's side door. Cause for concern? Probably. Authorities learned that the blood had come from the man who was in the passenger seat, and who had supposedly been in a fight (involving knives) earlier on. He reportedly had been driving the truck and then handed the wheel over to Gomez. (Not sure how that worked?) The man was taken to a local hospital for treatment.
Now, not sure exactly what went on before the cops were made aware of this alleged situation, so I can't weigh in too heavily. But I will say -- regardless of what happened, just call 911 for chrissake. Why risk driving drunk with your kids in the car? Bad idea jeans, Becky, bad idea jeans indeed.
