Woman Charged With Stalking & Running Over Ex-Boyfriend's Mom Sends Bizarre Text
WORST ex-girlfriend EVER: When Ryan Boyd broke up with his girlfriend, Elizabeth McClain, she apparently didn't take it very well. She allegedly made Ryan's life a living hell for about three months with hundreds of threatening phone calls and text messages. And what did Ryan do? Exactly what he should have done -- he kept filing police reports and trying to block her from his phone.
But in the end it didn't matter. She was still out there, tormenting him. No one would help him. And finally, she did her worst. Apparently she ran over Ryan's mother with a car. Then she sent Ryan one last text message: "Hows Life? LOL."
Here's the whole sorry chain of events: First Elizabeth reportedly started calling Ryan 20 to 100 times a day threatening to make his life miserable. He filed a police report and tried to block her from his phone.
Then she started calling Ryan from other numbers trying to get around his block. He filed another police report -- because now she was calling him up to 750 times a day.
For her next trick, she texted him 156 times in a row, and she told him something bad would happen to him and his family if he didn't stop ignoring her. For example, she might drive through his living room. Ryan filed a police report.
Then, according to Ryan, she filled his car gas tank with sugar.
Then Elizabeth sent Ryan a message saying she'd seen a car up on a jack in front of his mother's house and that she was going to knock it off. Ryan told his mother, who called the police and then confronted Elizabeth outside the house.
That's when Elizabeth told Ryan's mother she could do anything she wanted and the police would never find her. Then she got into her car and ran over Ryan's mother -- with a big smile over her face. Ryan's mom is still alive, but suffered several broken bones, plus the skin on one side of her body was scraped off.
Okay, that's kind of a long saga, right? I mean, it kind of went on a lot longer than it should have. And it got a lot worse than it should have. So you've got to wonder -- after all those police reports Ryan filed, why didn't the police take Elizabeth's threats more seriously? Was it because they were too busy? Did they think because Elizabeth is female that she wasn't a real threat?
Because it sure looks like Elizabeth wasn't taking the police seriously. Sure, she's a smaller person who can't physically threaten Ryan, who is probably larger than she is. But as we see now, she was still perfectly capable of doing some nearly lethal harm to someone else. She should have been stopped long before it came to this!
I feel terrible especially for Ryan's mother. Elizabeth has been charged with third-degree felony stalking (just third-degree?!?) and aggravated assault with a motor vehicle. I hope they do a mental evaluation of her as well. Because if all these accusations and police reports are true, she is one sick and dangerous ex-girlfriend.
Have you ever been stalked or threatened by an ex?
