Kidnapped Girl Found Tied Up in Car During Routine Traffic Stop

OMG 27

car trunkA 15-year-old girl from southern France named Chloe Rodriguez disappeared on November 9 after leaving her home by scooter to go to a friend's house. What followed sounds like something out of a horrific movie. Chloe was kidnapped by a 32-year-old man -- who had been released from jail in September after being convicted of physically and sexually assaulting six women (who, like Chloe, had been traveling alone, either by foot or bicycle) -- and held captive for seven days!

This past Friday afternoon, when police stopped her kidnapper during a routine traffic stop in Germany, she was found ... tied up in the trunk of the car. What a nightmare -- but not with the ending we'd typically assume, thank goodness. And that's due in part to how Chloe manipulated her captor ...

According to her father, Jesus Rodriguez, the teen said she managed to stay alive by never contradicting her captor. She also came to understand his triggers and memorized details around her -- her kidnapper, his car, its license plate. Jesus said:

She told us that she was able to have a dialogue with this man, and that she obeyed all his orders.

Wow. And while obviously this all turned out the best possible way considering the circumstances, it absolutely makes you shudder to think what Chloe went through. The teen is currently recovering in the hospital. Her parents told reporters that she is doing well, but she cries a lot and is physically exhausted. Poor thing ...

It's no wonder that in the aftermath of this horrifying experience, there are so many mixed, troubling emotions. As Chloe's mom, Violette Rodriguez said:

This man who did her so much harm -- there is justice, and justice will be rendered. But I thank him anyway, because he kept her alive.

Although it is nothing short of a miracle that Chloe is alive, but not so sure the kidnapper deserves gratitude of any sort ... But I couldn't agree with the first part of her statement: For the nightmare he inflicted on Chloe and the many other women, justice must be rendered.

What do you make of what happened to Chloe Rodriguez?

He should never get out of jail again....that would be justice. Let the bottom feeders in prison feast on him; death is too good.

I can't imagine the horror Chloe went through or the anguish her parents felt when their daughter went missing. Nor do I want to. Chloe did an amazing job surviving. Great job to her parents because without them and the love they provide she may have never had the strength to make it back. She has a long road to recovery and a piece of her will never be the same and my heart goes out to her and her family. Godspeed Rodriguez Family. From the ashes of her torment I can only hope she will share her experience and how she survived to others in her age group.

This poor girl. I hope her support system is solid like Elizabeth Smart's. I cannot fathom. If I were her mother, I think my skin would crawl and my heart would be in flames, wanting to tear that bastard apart. I hope they all can heal.

I sure hope that he is put away for a LONG time!

God bless this little girl. May she have a speedy recovery. And to her parents please stand by her sode as I feel you will as she will go threw pure hell for a little while and always remind her it is not her fault. Keep her close as she might have horrible nightmares/flash backs. Help her work threw them all. God bless this sweet girl and her wonderful parents.

This is a parent's greatest fear. I would be thankful he kept her alive. A safe return is worth quelling your rage and ferocity for this monster.

She is very very intelligent and savvy, and if she can overcome this and and the terrible aftermath, bad memories and nightmares, this experience will, in some backwards sort of way, serve her well.  How many grown women would have held it together and stayed alive through a situation like this?  And it's OK if the parents want to be really really pissed at the poor excuse for a human being that did this to their daughter.  I think that once they are past the stage of being incredibly relieved that she's still alive, anger will kick in.  That's ok--anger has it's place and makes things happen, and we all know what we'd like to happen to this guy.
