Pot Dealer Helps Hurricane Sandy Victims by Donating Half His Green
In the spirit of Robin Hood and Dexter, a Brooklyn-based weed dealer has donated half of his drug proceeds to Hurricane Sandy victims. In two days, the college-educated dealer, who spoke to The Huffington Post under the condition of anonymity, made $1,400, and $700 of that paper went to people in need. He said: "Look, there are probably some people down there [in the Rockaways] who want some marijuana -- but that's not going to clothe and feed them. So in order for me to help, I needed to turn what I do into something concrete that I could give to them."
Got a problem with drug money being used on others? Take it up with the people who need hot meals, diapers, and clean water.
I really don't think anyone who's still without power -- or, worse, without a home -- gives a rat's ass where their food and clothes are coming from. So who are we to judge and get all preachy?
And, in addition to donating his money, the man has also been donating his time. He's been transporting relief goods to South Brooklyn and Queens, and he also bought 50 wool blankets for residents who are still without electricity -- I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that that is probably more than most of us have done.
The dude sells dope/reefer/mary jane/hash/pot/grass/ganja to make some money. Who cares? He sounds like a solid guy with a good heart. No matter what your stance on marijuana, who could be against someone like that?
Do you think it's wrong to use drug money to help people in need out?

Good for him!! At least he is helping, like mentioned I don't think anyone will care where the money came from.

I second what Christie says. It shows the difference between gang-related drug dealing and someone just selling an organic substance (because, really, what's synthetic about pot?) and using that money for a good cause. He's not using that money to buy himself a pimped out ride, luxury items he doesn't need and other useless crap. It's like the author said, he's doing a heck of a lot more than most of have done.
