I'm staying home.  Last place on earth I'd want to be is in those stores.  That's what internet shopping is for.

Just FYI, anyone who plans to buy electronics at Walmart should know that the items that WM sells are NOT the same thing as what you get in other, "non-discount" stores, even if it's by the same brand. Walmart has contracts with the electronics companies that entail the companies making items for Walmart to sell at super-cheap prices, and that usually involves lower quality. The companies do it because they know that Walmart will sell tons of their merchandise, so it makes sense for them, but the tradeoff is that they have to keep cost below a certain level. My husband used to work at Walmart and he said that a lot of people don't realize that--they think they're getting the same thing for a cheaper price, but they're actually getting a lower-quality item.

As for us, we'll be sticking with spending Thanksgiving with our family and friends. There is nothing about Black Friday shopping that appeals to me.

Actually most of those prices aren't much better than Amazon, and that's much easier than going to Walmart. I'm pretty disappointed in all the ads I've seen so far.

They are horrible...making their "associates" work 12 hour shifts on thanksgiving into Friday... all for what... overtime? Nah walmart doesn't give overtime and you will be fired for even a minute over... the bonus for working such a shift? The reward for being forced to work such a long shift over spending time with family? An extra10% off coupon active for the 6-7 of December. there are no sales.. and nothing in stock. Really helps out. Low pay and high work load... day in and day out constantly having to be a babysitter for the new hires that are often screw offs... the drama of it all is not worth the same pay as flipping burgers. Long story short... I will be at walmart for black Friday... as a prisoner... because I have no hope of spending time with my children or husband or family to whom I hardly see but once a year due to everyone working multiple jobs just to survive... what am I thankful for? My children being comfortable even though at this rate... I will never be. I am the bread winner of this family and I have given up motherhood and the soccer mom role so that I can put food on the table and light in our home.

I wouldn't be caught dead out on Black Friday. I don't care what deal they are offering.
