A 35-year-old woman says she shot and killed a man, 33-year-old Lawrence Sandoval, after he allegedly followed her home from the gas station, forced his way into her home, and held her at knife point insisting that she undress. The woman told authorities that after Sandoval put the knife under her chin, she reached under her pillow, grabbed her loaded gun, and shot Sandoval. I say, GO GIRL!
She ran out of the house and called 911. Now, that’s a smart cookie. No hanging around to find out if he was dead or alive.
Officials say Sandoval died at the scene. No charges have been filed. The end. If this is really how it all went down, it sounds pretty perfect to me.
Hell yeah, if some asshole decides that it’s okay to follow a woman home, just because he likes what he sees, and then force himself on her, the very least he deserves is to be shot dead. This is just another symptom of men thinking women are less than equal human beings.
We are not property. We are not put on earth solely for a man’s pleasure. So when you come at us to take what you want without asking permission, or by force, be prepared for the consequences. I guess now he knows what it feels like to be scared out of your mind while someone else holds your life in his or her hands.
I only wish he would have lived so he could have gone to jail and been raped himself.
What do you think, was she justified in killing her attacker or should she have just fled?

With him holding her by knife point in her own home, her castle, she had every right to use deadly force to protect herself. Especially when he had intentions to either harm her or rape her. Justified. End of Story there folks. She would have been justified in putting one bullet or emptying the clip on him either way. She feared for her life. Go girl!
Amazing. An article on "The Stir" that isn't proclaiming how awful and ridiculious gun ownership is! Hell yes it was justified and hell yes, I own a gun. LIving in an area with very few people around, a husband who travels and two young children, I'm going to do my damndest to protect us. I'll even be getting my conceal carry permit shortly after the new year and with it a gun small enough to fit in my diaper bag without bringing attention to it. It makes my husband feel safer when he's away, and it makes me feel better as well.
but...but...but... Wait!!! Guns are BAD!!! She should have had a trigger lock on that gun, and it should have been locked in a safe, with the ammunition on a different floor in another safe!! And she should have told her attacker, "Back off! I have a cellphone, and I'm not afraid to call 911! And you should just stand there and wait a good half hour until the police can get here and handle this situation for me!!!"
Because guns kill people and are the root of all evil!!!
Bull hockey. This was a woman who was prepared. She knew she might be at risk and she took steps to protect herself. Nobody was hurt except the perpetrator who wanted to inflict injury and worse. This woman is the poster child for "Gun Control" .... controlling the gun properly and taking one shot to kill your aggressor. Good for her. Maybe the gun control freaks can learn a little bit from her.
