More from The Stir: CafeMom Covers Michelle Obama's Campaign Appearance (VIDEO)

Michelle Obama posted this morning to our Election Talk & Debate board on CafeMom. Here's what she had to say:

Hello CafeMoms!

Whether it's for advice, support or just good old-fashioned girl time, I know how important it is for all of us to have a strong community of women in our lives. For me, that includes my mom, my girlfriends, and all those remarkable women I've had the opportunity to meet all across the country as First Lady. These are the women who keep me laughing, grounded, and inspired every single day.

And for the next week, I couldn't be more excited to hang out with the amazing community of women here on CafeMom.

So thanks for inviting me to join you all. Feel free to ask me about the election, the importance of voting, or simply about life on the campaign trail and in the White House.

Can't wait to get started!

-Michelle Obama

P.S. - Don't forget to vote on (or before) November 6th! This election is about our children's future, so no matter who you're voting for, every mom in the country needs to make sure her voice is heard on Election Day. We owe it to our kids to keep moving our country forward, and voting is the best way for us to do our part.

Go here to leave your question for the First Lady. She'll be back next week to answer as many of your questions as she can!

Editor's Note: An invitation was extended to Ann Romney to join our community and respond to member questions.  As of this posting, we have not received a response.

Hrm.. I should think of a non-snarky question.  I do hope Ann Romney participates as well. Would be neat to see them both do it.

I'm not an American, but I'd love to know how she, as the spouse of a politician, deals with hearing and reading the constant barbs and lies against her husband's character.  I'm sure it hurts when the person she knows and loves is characterized badly by the media and the opposition.  I can't imagine hearing negative things about my husband day after day and being able to stay quiet and civil about it.

(and before the Right gets all nasty about my question, I'd ask Ann Romney the same question)

(and before the Right gets all nasty about "the Canadian" daring to ask a question of the First Lady, Cafe Mom can feel free to skip it)

I would like something cleared up for me. I am a little bit confused by the fact that President Obama has been cutting military spending in ways that make the soldiers have to spend more money out of pocket and doing things like making sure military members didn't get raises for the first while he was in office, but Mrs. Obama is out there doing "Support our Troops" things and talking about how important our soldiers are. Keeping your head above water as a military family this last 4 years has been incredibly hard. So I guess I just want to know how two halves of a power couple can stand up and say/do such different things? It's confusing and ambiguous.

It's interesting how I can post a positive comment, absent of any attacks or foul language, and it gets deleted. Not sure who the moderators of this site are but they need to find another job.

I guess I will unsubscribe to this blog since it's cramming propaganda down our throats.  It's bad enough we have to see her everytime we turn on the computer or see the magazines with her on the cover.  Everyone has a computer.......why they don't do a little research on the facts is beyond me.  I'm from Chicago and she is not the person everyone thinks she is.

I agree 10000% with DebA114. From Chicago here too. It's a joke, really. And yes, Stir, please do us all a favor and stop being so biased. I'd like to hear from Ann Romney. Or maybe a nice article on Romney. Not everyone who reads your publication is a fan of Obama. And to be clear, I have no problem with anyone who votes for Obama. Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I'm not even voting for Romney or Obama. But, I would expect to see more from both sides, not ONLY on Obama's side. It's gotten ridiculous and between this and the snarky articles I've seen lately, I'm going to be unsubscribing as well.

I'm a military wife too and would like to know the same as admiring_u_14.  It seems we've spent the better part of the last 4 or more years struggling because of a lack or raises.  We're on our third deployment and STILL struggling.

I'm a military wife as well.  My best friends husband was in the group of thousands in the Navy that were sent their walking papers because of budget cuts and yet Michelle has money to go on Safari and to Spain and Christmas in Hawaii.  Mrs. Obama??  Why didn't you spend your vacations at Camp David like the others administrations have done? Why couldn't you have used the money from one of your vacations to pay the salaries of those Navy folks who have served their country so faithfully?  Would you be willing to apologize and help my girlfriend/former Navy wife's Husband find a job so they can move out of their parents homes.  They have a son who was just diagnosed with autism as well.  Could you take some of your "vacation money" and help them pay for his therapy?  They only have a month left on Tricare before that's yanked from them.  Soon they won't even be able to save money shopping at the commissary.  If you really care about the poor, would you be willing to help her make ends meet since it was your Husband and his policies that made them poor in the first place?

For the ladies who want to hear from the Romney camp. this was posted above!

As for my question to the First Lady, What does your husband propose to do to help the families who are stuggling to make ends meet? Everyday i receive e-mails from your camp to contribute to help your husband win. Which , I would do if I had two nickels to rub tgether.
