Child Abuse & Basement Strip Club Found in Home Where 7 Adopted Kids Live

Twisted 5

basement stairsThis is one of those stories that just manages to get worse, and worse, and worse. Then even more worse. Here we go -- everything that's awful gets a ding! When police were searching a couple's home in California to investigate a murder (ding!), they found that the home had an illegal and self-made strip club in the basement (ding!) complete with a stage, a pole, and a private "exotic zone" (ding, ding, ding!). Upon further investigation, cops found that seven adopted kids lived in the house (ding!) and were exposed to the strip club where, allegedly, ecstasy was being passed around like candy and left on the tables (ding!). After some even more digging, it was uncovered that one of the seven children had reportedly been sexually abused by the father-figure on the bathroom floor as the other kids looked on, and that the mother-figure routinely beat the children, who are all under 11 years old, with fists, belts, hangers, and other metal objects (DING DING DING DING DING DING DING!!).

It's almost too much to believe -- how could "parents" do such a thing? I'm almost speechless.

The couple, Gregory Bernard Lacy, 60, and LaQuron D. McLean Lacy, 43, have been arrested under suspicion of child abuse -- Mr. Lacy is being held on $1 million bail and Mrs. Lacy $50,000. Their arraignment is next month and I hope to god that if these people are guilty, that they are punished to the fullest, and I mean fullest, extent of the law.

To think these children probably thought they were getting out of some hell when they were adopted, only to find themselves in the most disturbing and disgusting abyss on Earth. It's beyond saddening. I hope they get the help and love they so desperately need. And fast.

Can you believe this?

dawny... dawnydear

How in the heck did this couple ever pass the screening for adopting children? I thought a couple had to go  through all sorts of screening in order to adopt. This is a total failure on the part of agency workers to ensure these kid's are in a safe, loving environment.

power... powertothekids

ARGH those poor poor kids get the kids therepy

marie... mariesmama

and to think caseworkers make up things to take  a child away from a safe loving home to adopt them out and then crap like this happens

@ dawnydear and anyone else who asks why this happens, I'm reading a book right now called Deadly Thirst: The True Story of a Foster Child's Murder by Donna Goodenough that explains just how these things happen.  It's a chilling expose and made the answer clear to me.  CPS has too much power and doesn't know how to use it to keep the children safe.
