Is This the Nation's Youngest Delegate? (VIDEO)

Hannah McCarleyMeet Hannah McCarley. She's from West Virginia, she just turned 18 years old a couple of days ago ... and she's a delegate at the Democratic National Convention.

Check out our video interview with Hannah and see what she has to say about politics and why she decided to get involved in the process (and then show it to the teenager in your life) after the jump.

I don't know about you, but I'm so impressed! I'll bet her parents are proud to have a teenager who has the wherewithal to run for office at such a young age, and I'm sure that for Hannah, this convention is the experience of a lifetime. I'm also guessing this will look pretty good on her college application!

You'd think Hannah would have been too young to run for office, but since she turned 18 before the general election, she qualified. I'm glad that voters in West Virginia decided to give this young lady a shot and allow her to represent them at the DNC.

Hannah hopes her role as teenage delegate helps inspire other young adults to vote in November. The high school senior is missing school this week -- I feel pretty confident, though, that they'll excuse her absence!

What do you think of this young delegate?
