Yet another shooting took place today, this time outside of the Empire State Building on the corner of 34th Street and Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan. So far, one victim has reportedly been killed -- a woman -- and at least 10 people have been injured. At least one of the wounded people is currently in critical condition, while the state of the others is still unknown. The alleged gunman has also been shot and killed by authorities. According to witnesses, his body is covered up and still lying outside of the building.
The investigation is currently ongoing, but as of now, law enforcement officials are claiming the shooting stemmed from a workplace dispute. There is no apparent link to terrorism.
Some of the victims were reportedly found inside the lobby of the landmark, while some others were found in front of the building on the street. A guard is claiming that the shooting didn't involve the parts of the building where visitors gather to visit the skyscraper.
