If you've ever watched Hoarders and wondered "how could someone subject another human being to living in such filth," I'm here to tell you it could be worse. MUCH worse. A couple of Miami parents (a word I'll be using very loosely in this here piece) were arrested this week for not only allegedly forcing their four kids to live in a complete pigsty, but also allegedly prostituting out their young daughters.
Gabriel de Jesus Orellana and Renee Marie Garcia have four kids between the ages of 7 and 13 -- two boys and two girls. And cops say both girls have been offered up to men in the past.
In fact, when the couple were arrested, it's because an undercover officer responded to a tip that Orellana was trying to pimp out his little girl. Instead the police say he gave the officer Garcia's number (thank heavens for small mercies), and the grown woman agreed to have sex for money ... if the would-be john would take her to buy drugs.
Still thinking it can't get much worse than subjecting your kids to a house of horrors?
I hate to say it, but after years of working the crime beat for a small town newspaper, when it comes to child abuse cases, I'm always waiting for the other shoe to drop. There's never a "good" child abuse case, mind you ... but at least 90 percent of the time, it seems like you hear parents have done something awful, only to have the cops come back at you with a one-two punch that tops it entirely.
I would be calling these "parents" every name in the book simply based on the deplorable conditions cops described in their home -- I'm talking garbage all over the floor, drug paraphernalia evident all over the house (with a 7-year-old!?), no food to speak of. You just don't do that to human beings. But then the cops added the alleged prostitution, and as far as I'm concerned, it's case closed, throw the book at 'em.
What do you think should happen to this couple if they're convicted?

Cold turkey drug withdrawal. And while they are sick as dogs,have every willing prisoner where they are going, sodomise them repeatedly until they are a torn mess. And only then, let them get beat to death. They are beneath animals.
Large caliber bullets to the head multiple times just to make sure these sick bastards don't get up. Bullets are much cheaper to purchase than keeping these sick bastards fed 3x a day... more meals than they gave to thier kids. I feel so sorry for those kids, I hope they get all the counseling they need.
There is a lot here that isn't said here, but, in the long run, I guess that's ok . Somehow, in a way, I think prison will be too good for them because they will have a "bed" to sleep in, a "roof" over their heads, they will get three "square" meals a day, and they will have their medical needs attended to...and, there won't be any clutter. They will have clean clothes to wear.....everything the children didn't have with them.....even though they will be in prison ( wait, I'm SO SORRY....THEY AREN'T GUILTY UNTIL THEY ARE PROVEN TO BE) What was I thinking? ...but there are some OTHER JERKS in this story...the ones to whom the parents prostituded the girls to. THEY need to be found and punished , as well.
They should be sterilized, convicted and put in solitary confinement for the rest of their natural lives. The children should be adopted together into a loving home far away from Miami and they should never see any relatives from that family for their own good. They need intense counseling and they should be monitored for the rest of their lives to make sure they do not turn into their parents (they run a high risk.) The people involved who allowed this - the Johns, the neighbors, their drug using friends the relatives of these animals should be hunted down and brought up on charges too - they stood by and did nothing to stop these animals. These kids I am assuming went to school - didn't the school notice that something was off kilter, I find it very hard that to believe that these 4 children had no one looking after their best interests. They lived in an apartment, obviously there was a landlord - they should be brought up on charges too, cast a wide circle around these kids and bring up everyone and anyone who failed them.
Personally I think a gauntlet (First people style) of women on both sides with whatever they want in hand, and they run it ..
I would pay to be on the line ..
They are not worth putting in jail - why should my taxes go to feed them, or let them get a college degree?
Make an floating island of debris, drop food once a month and leave them on it. If they decide to try to swim for it make sure its in southern waters with sharks.
