Yesterday, we showed you the highlights of President Obama's campaign speech in Jacksonville, Florida.
After his appearance, we got reaction from the president's supporters, as well as his critics.
Although 3,000 locals showed up to hear the President speak, there were a surprising number of protesters lining the streets in front of the convention center where the speech took place. And as you'll see in our Moms Matter Road Trip video, they had plenty to say.
What really stood out to me during our swing state road trip was the amount of anger and dissatisfaction among voters on both sides of the political spectrum.
No one is happy with the state of the economy or our legislators in Washington, and a surprising number of people aren't really fans of either presidential candidate.
Even the supporters of both candidates were generally quick with their responses when asked what their chosen candidate could do to improve his chances. President Obama's supporters often spoke of wanting him to get more accomplished in the next four years than he has in his first term. Mitt Romney's fans said he needs to make a better connection with voters, and get more passionate about what he intends to do if elected.
Whomever wins in November will face a struggling and dissatisfied population.

What do you think about these voters' thoughts on President Obama? Do you think either candidate can pull our nation out of its economic slump?
Obama has proven that he can't. Given Romney's brilliant business career, I think he can put us back on the right track. I don't need him to give me the warm fuzzies, connect with me on an emotional level, or be an engaging talk-show guest. He could be a damn robot for all I care - he'd be a robot with more relevent experience and proven ability than Obama.
As for being able to pull us out of the economic slump, considering the incredible damage the democrats have inflicted on the nation over the past six years, I am sad to say I don't think we can be saved any more. I believe that the democrats have build the debt so large that we can no longer pull out, and we are destined for a default.
However, if we have any chance at all, given the choice between a proven business success and a proven political failure, there is only one objective choice.
There is one argument for voting democrat, AKA the "Burn It To The Ground Vote". Another four years like the last and we will definitely be done for. Sort of like pulling a band aid, voting democrat may be the way to get The Default over with as soon as possible, and thus getting us on with rebuilding sooner. Plus, there is the "we told you so" factor, the mindless sheep of the left would never be able to blame the actions of their own party on others ever again. This is scarey though, those same mindless left wing sheep could wind us up with a communist dictatorship instead of a Jeffersonian democracy in the event of a government collapse.
The only way anything will get better is if the two parties can get their heads out of their butts and start working together. They are so busy trying to win, and prove that their ideas are the best ideas, that nothing is getting done. The President is only 1 man among over 500 in Washington, he can only do so much. I am still unsure of who I am voting for, I am still researching all my options. But it is turning into a choice between dumb and dumb.
Sarasahmof3-It is true these canditates have a lot in common. They are both progressive's and that is a major problem. I would encourage you to be dilligent also in your research of all canditates because our men and women in Congree are just as important as who we have in our white house.
To answer the question at hand I think Romney will have better success because of his business background. The government cannot get us out of this hole only the private sector can. Papa Murphy's announced yesterday they will be a rise in price due to the impact of obamacare on their business and yes their bottom line. We will start to see more and more of this until it is repealed or we will see the end of our country. We need to cut entitlements across the board, including the perks our public servants at the state and federal level enjoy. We should not pay for anyone to have free health care for life just because they held office for a couple years. We need to trim the fat everywhere and all of us will have to take a hit.
