President Obama made a campaign stop in Jacksonville during our Moms Matter Road Trip through Florida and we re-routed our plans in order to be there. The president roused a crowd of 3,000 supporters with a message tailored specifically to address the needs and concerns of middle class America.
Whether you live in Florida or elsewhere in the country, watching his stump speech gives you a good idea of Obama's plans if he remains president for the next four years.
Click through to see our Moms Matter video containing highlights from the speech.
The audience included many parents, who'd brought their children with them to hear the President speak.

While critics say Mr. Obama hasn't done enough as president over the last four years, he blamed Congress for refusing to compromise and creating a number of stalemates in Washington.
President Obama also pledged to raise taxes on people making more than $250,000 per year -- a bone of contention with some small business owners, who say it's unfair for their taxes to increase when they're using their higher incomes to create jobs and pay workers.
The president talked about his plans to improve life for America's middle class through education, mortgage refinancing, and his biggest accomplishment to date -- the Affordable Healthcare Act.
His charisma is undeniable and the crowd responded enthusiastically, responding aloud to much of what he had to say.
Tomorrow, we'll show you reaction to Obama's appearance, both from supporters and critics. In the meantime, what do you think of the president's campaign speech?

Procrasta-How are you mixing a tax code and budget plan? Also the Bush tax cuts effected us all. You wouldn't know that because you don't live in our country. Tax the rich and you lose more jobs. Call 250,000 a year rich and you lose small business. Your post is so funny I want to thank you for the laugh. I don't agree with all of Bush's policies but what mess did he leave? I think the way the American Government is too complex for you to understand. You see the democrats had control over congress since half way through Bush's second term and before that there wasn't enough on either side for the Republicans to really have full control, they had to work together. These things you complain about were voted on by Congress and then the bills are signed by the president. What that means is that the congress are the ones that have the power to make real change led by the President. That's why we need a President to lead us and not divide us. Can Romney do that? I don't know, but Obama has proven he is unwilling to work with the other side. .
Also in your second post were you mentioned the blame game, that is the most awesome thing you've ever written. It was so smart and so amazing that I am flabbergasted. Out of curiosity can you give me one example of this? Because I know for a fact Obama is a big Bush blamer and I can post a million clips of him saying just that. Just a little FYI you can't leave the four trillion dollar deficit at Bush's door alone, you gotta leave at least half on Nancy's door too
Procrastamom, Obama has already extended the Bush tax cuts and is planning on doing it again, so what is your point? My family also falls into the "not poor or rich enough" group, I believe that is what they used to call the middle class right? We pay ALL of our bills each month on time and have excellent credit yet there is not one program out there that could help us if we needed it. The rich do fine living off of their own money and the poor do fine living off the government money but us simple middle class folk get screwed! Mr. Obama has no done one thing that has improved my family life since he has taken office. My husband who works in the construction field, has not had a raise in 3 years because his company is worried about work (can anyone say "shovel ready jobs?" yea, that really worked! Even Mr. Obama laughed at that. His employer is a small company and after Obamacare passed, our premiums almost doubled and our out of pocket went from 500 per person to 1000 per person and as a family from 1000 to 2500 before our insurance kicks in. Thank you very much Mr. President! I don't know if he will be out of office soon but I can certainly hope for it...now that's would be the real "hope and change" I can back!
Our business was booming when Bush was in office. People were building. Banks were lending and the stock market was steady. We're out of one war but are now in another.
One more time, what has Obama done during his term to HELP us?
I'm not going to engage with you Procrasto. As someone who lives in a mostly socialized country, you don't have the foggiest idea. Yes, to you, Obama's been great. You're prospering. We're not. We want our old country back. Back before this arrogant man took office. THIS IS OUR COUNTRY. We HIRED HIM to do what's best for us. HE FAILED. Time for someone else to have a chance. I've said before, if you ever read what I write, that I'm not sure Romney will do better. But we can't continue the way we have. The problems people are already having with the Affordable Health Care haven't even begun. When everything comes to light, there will be a rude awakening for all of those who thought it was "free."
We have problems everywhere and Obama just doesn't know what to do. He has NO experience and shouldn't have been hired in the first place.

Perfectly boiled-down description of the BObama reign of terror. Well said, JAFE!
Where did I hear this $2000 tax increase rumour? Where DIDN'T I hear it?
In any case, the Obama ad correctly describes the key findings of a study by a highly credible organization. The figure of “up to $2,000” in tax increases for “middle class families” comes from page 18 of the study, which notes that the average tax increase for taxpayers with children and income below $200,000 would be $2,041. (The apparent tax increases are smaller for middle-income taxpayers without children.)

Do you want me to post a "Let Me Google That For You" link or can you pull up your bootstraps and do that ya'selves?
One more thing before I see the end of my long weekend (BC Day - whaddup!!) and I rest my head in the best country in the world - if tax breaks cause the rich to create jobs and the rich have had the Bush tax breaks for almost 10 years, then shouldn't the US be almost at 0% unemployment? How long should it take for these tax breaks to work?
I'm gonna go ahead and guess that, based on your glaring condescention in your comment, that you applaud this strategy. Though I cannot fathom why in the world you would...........
