President Obama made a campaign stop in Jacksonville during our Moms Matter Road Trip through Florida and we re-routed our plans in order to be there. The president roused a crowd of 3,000 supporters with a message tailored specifically to address the needs and concerns of middle class America.
Whether you live in Florida or elsewhere in the country, watching his stump speech gives you a good idea of Obama's plans if he remains president for the next four years.

The audience included many parents, who'd brought their children with them to hear the President speak.

While critics say Mr. Obama hasn't done enough as president over the last four years, he blamed Congress for refusing to compromise and creating a number of stalemates in Washington.
President Obama also pledged to raise taxes on people making more than $250,000 per year -- a bone of contention with some small business owners, who say it's unfair for their taxes to increase when they're using their higher incomes to create jobs and pay workers.
The president talked about his plans to improve life for America's middle class through education, mortgage refinancing, and his biggest accomplishment to date -- the Affordable Healthcare Act.
His charisma is undeniable and the crowd responded enthusiastically, responding aloud to much of what he had to say.
Tomorrow, we'll show you reaction to Obama's appearance, both from supporters and critics. In the meantime, what do you think of the president's campaign speech?

The deficit and debt exploded when the dim-o-crits took over congress in '06. And while you may wish you could blame that on Bush, it should be noted that OWEbama was part of congress at that time, and actually VOTED FOR the deficits that "he inherited".
Jafe-Thank you so much for breaking down what it is like to own a small business. I agree with your entire post. Romney isn't my first pick but he understands business and we need that to survive as a country. The private sector are the only one's to fix our countries problems. How is it if you make $249,000 you are middle class but make a thousand more and your rich?
@Kaiden'smom-He didn't inherit anything. Bush didn't die and leave him the country. Obama ran for president and said he could fix our problems. After being elected he said that if in three years we didn't see a significant difference he would be a one term president. He took a 4 trillion deficit and tripled it. He is personally responsiblefor the loss of thousands of jobs. Can you name one thing he has made better since he's been president? I dare you to say health care so we can all rip apart your reasoning. It scares me that people on the left follow him blindly and wont admit to any wrong doing. I voted for Bush twice and I can give you a list of things he did as president. Do I regret voting for him? No, I would do it again in a second. That doesn't mean I agree with everything he's done. Mitt Romeny is not my favorite but he's my alternative. I can tell you why I'm okay with voting for him, and tell you the things that make me uncomfortable. Can you do the same?
Because he said he would KaidensMama! Was that a lie? You tell me what this man has done to help our country. NOT other countries BUT OURS. He's nothing better than a snake oil salesman. I don't want a billion links either. Just tell it like it is. WHAT HAS HE DONE TO HELP OUR COUNTRY?
So, you Republicans are aware that if Romney extends the Bush tax cuts (within the Ryan budget) he won't be extending the tax breaks that you in the midde class get, right? You'll continue to pay the same tax rate, but all of your tax credits are going bye-bye and so you'll be paying on average an extra $2000 a year (no child tax credits for you the unwashed!). No worries, that's only for the 99 percent of you. Romney will still enjoy the same tax breaks and credits he's been lapping up his entire life. Whew!
Since he hasn't kept any of his promises we can't expect him honor his promise to become a 1 term president if we didn't see hope and change. He hasn't done a thing but spend money we don't have for things we don't need. Hopefully we'll be able to dig ourselves out of our fiscal woes, but not under Obama's leadership.
4Mutts - I too tried to refinance but my credit is too good and I've never missed a payment so I don't qualify for a lower interest rate. But miss a few payments and be heavily in debt and hey you're golden....how the fuck does that work?????????
@Kaidensmama - The Republican strategy is to make a HUGE mess for the next guy, who is usually a Democrat, and then hide the broom so he has a ton of trouble trying to clean it up. I'm confident that if the Republicants take the government this time, there'll be tens of trillions of dollars for the next Democrat to take all of the blame for, three months into his term in 2017. It's how they roll.
