Everyone got a first public look at accused Colorado shooter James Holmes today, and the jury is in: That boy is crazy, or possessed by the Devil. All people who commit heinous crimes like this are some form of crazy, but no. Watching Holmes at his hearing today, you can see he clearly has serious, scary mental issues that leave you wondering how he was ever let to roam around free in society. We've got the Jack Nicholson-esque screenshots (from Cuckoo's Nest, not The Shining) below.
Holmes will likely face charges of first-degree murder on July 30, and he could face the death penalty -- but that part is months away. That's all you really need to know about what was said at this morning's hearing. All everyone is really talking about is how batshit insane Holmes looked during the whole thing.

Wearing a maroon jumpsuit over a protective vest and orange "Joker" hair, the 24-year-old Holmes spent the entire hearing pretty much non-emotional, not even following what was being determined about his fate. He would stare into space, appear to nod off, look on the verge of tears, bug out his eyes. Classic Hollywood crazy. Could he just be a really good actor? If so he's damn good.
A friend who was drinking with him just a few days before the shooting said he was perfectly normal then. Then he shot and killed 12 people and children, and wounded dozens of others. Then they put him into solitary confinement and he started spitting and sat with his eyes rolling back in his head. Lawyers say he was not drugged, which means this is the real him. What the heck happened that would make someone snap like this?

I don't think that was his mugshot picture, I think it's one pulled from his social media or online dating profiles.
Regardless of whether he meets the legal criteria of insanity, which, I believe has something to do with can't participate in and/or contribute to his defense, someone, as in him, who does something like this, is obviously, to some extant anyway, insane.
Maybe that's just my opinion, but it counts in my head, and I'm willing to bet, I'm not alone in my thoughts on that subject.
Also, I'm thinking that insane or not, maybe he should still be put to death, in order to protect the rest of humanity, who's to say if he ever gets out of prison, he won't flip out and do something like this again, if you don't have the answer to why he did it this time, and who's to say anyone ever will, than how do you stop it from happening again?
The police did not release his mugshot pic. The one everyone used was an older photo.
Whether he's deemed insane or not, this man needs to be put to death immediately if not sooner. I don't even see the point of a trial.
even if he gets the death penalty, he will sit on death row for years before he is put to death. i not a big believer in death immediately but i would make an exception for him or any other terrors who could do something like this.
my heart goes out to the families of those who were killed, injured, and the ones unhurt.
i don't think he should be put to death, ONLY because i think he should suffer in jail for the rest of his life for what he did, death is too easy for him now, and would be a blessing compared to what he did to those innocent people. also, i believe his hair is that color because he was trying to be "joker" or something like that. this man is wrong on so many levels.
I feel so bad for those familys and loved ones, my heart goes out to all of them.
