Americans, Luke Skywaker has an urgent message for you: When you vote, let The Force guide you and vote for Obama. The actor who played Luke Skywalker (in the only legit original trilogy), Mark Hamill, gave Obama an intergalactic endorsement at Comic-Con this week. Because without Obama, "the middle class will completely disappear." Just like the planet Alderaan did! Help us, Obama, you're our only hope.
Also, did you know Romney is a robot?
Well anyway, Luke Skywalker claims Romney is "not actually human." And he would know -- he used to hang out with a couple of droids by the name of C-3PO and R2-D2. It's just that Romney's not the droid we're looking for. Here's how Luke/Mark puts it.
And you look at Romney and I'm sure he's a nice guy, but I think he's like The Thing -- he only imitates human behavior. He's not actually human himself ... So God bless him, I'm enjoying him running for office but -- I just came out as a lifelong Democrat.
But maybe Romney is part man, part evil machine. You know, just like Darth Vader? Remember what Luke said about his father, "There is good in him. I've felt it." C'mon Romney, don't go to the Dark Side! There's still time. Join with The Force, stop being a robot, and help us fight against the evil Empire! (Whatever that is -- I'm kind of lost now in this Star Wars extended metaphor. Is the Emperor the Koch brothers?)
Anyway, if you're wondering which droid The Thing is, that character is actually from a totally different sci-fi movie called The Thing. It can assume the shape of anything it wants to. It can be a politician who supports government programs that reform health care ... or it can be a politician who vows to undo a government program that could reform health care. It's a trap! It's a trap! May The Force be with Obama.
Do you agree with Luke Skywalker/Mark Hamill's take on Mitt Romney?
