The 2012 Election is heating up with both President Obama and Mitt Romney hitting the country to shake hands with people and answer all their burning questions. But if Mitt's tour bus isn't stopping in your town, here's your chance to ask him and his wife Ann some questions that could help you make your voting decision come this November.
Lynn Sherr of Parade magazine is going to be sitting down with the Romneys this Friday and she wants CafeMom members to help her with the interview. If your question gets selected, she'll not only pose them to the presidential candidate and his wife, but you'll see it in print in Parade magazine. Pretty cool stuff!
What question would you ask Mitt Romney? What question would you ask his wife Ann? Leave your question in the comments section below - we'll select several to ask the Romneys.

1. If you eliminate the current healthcare law, how do you plan to make sure that every American has access to healthcare and is not turned away due to pre-exciting conditions or lack of resources to pay?
2. If you defund Planned Parenthood, what is your plan to replace the birth control and reproductive healthcare it provides to low income women?
3. Do you plan to work to overturn Roe v. Wade?
4. What is your tax plan for the middle class? Will you do anything to close loopholes for high income taxpayers, to increase deductions for childcare expenses, and to make the tax system fairer across the board?
5. How do you plan to reduce unemployment?
I have no questions for Ann Romeny. She isn't running for office.
How do you think is it going to fell when you lose? Will you finally go away then?
If you are elected, how will it affect my life in a positive way? Myself, being a stay at home mother of two children, how will your presidency improve my life?
Also, I support the overturn or Roe V Wade, but what is your stance on the removal of ectopic pregnancies and when the mother's life is in immediate danger.
Furthermore, this country is in severe need of a pro-breastfeeding initiative. The health costs of the United States of America are greatly impacted by how few women breastfeed or have support in hospital's countrywide after giving birth. Is this issue important to you and your wife?
Lastly, what is your stance on medical marijuana usage and legelization, and where do you base your opinions on this subject from?
I would like to know what you think of the double standards in the media, to include the bloggers here on the stir, when in comes to trashing your wife and family?
What do you think of a flat tax? Do.you think.it would work?
Would you leave it up to the states for a healthcare program, like you did for Mass, instead of a federal program.
If you cannot repeal all of Obamacare, what would you keep and get rid of? What would you do about the religous organizations, being forced to provide coverage that go against their beliefs?
What will Ann's pet projects be if she becomes First Lady?
Can Ann Romney explain a little more about how horse therapy helps with people with certain diseases so that Lawrence Odonnel knows that it isnt only for the rich?
What will you do to help the economy if you are elected?
What is your position on tax incentives programs like the Federal Historic Preservation Tax Credits program, one of the most successful and cost-effective public/private rehabilitation programs in the nation? Would you expand this program and promote other incentive programs that promote private investment in the rehabilitation of our country's historic structures and neighborhoods?
Also, would you encourage states to take on their own historic preservation tax incentive programs? Recently, Governor Snyder did away with the highly successful tax credit program in Michigan, greatly reducing the number of privately-funded rehabilitations in the state. Given the success of this program to spur private investment in the nation's aging structures, and simultaneously rehabilitate aging neighborhoods, would you encourage Gov. Snyder to reinstate the old tax incentive program?
Please check out preservationnation.org or achp.gov for more info. Thank you!
I know there are more "pressing" questions probably to ask a presidential candidate, but historic preservation is not only my passion, but it's my livelihood. And these types of questions are never asked, especially now when there are so many polarizing questions that are covered ad nauseum in the media. Personally, I am a Romney supporter, but "historic preservation" tends to be considered a democrat's cause, although George W and Laura Bush did so so much for preservation in this country. I believe Hillary Clinton championed the cause as well. Recently, though, not so much.
