Nothing like a good incumbent presidential race in a failing economy to bring out the lies and accusations. “It was Bush’s fault!” Um, yeah, he was president three and a half years ago. Time to own up, Mr. President. The blame game was old in 2010.
Now Barack Obama has a new Republican to vilify -- presidential candidate and former Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney. Romney will be a bad president because he worked for Bain Capital, and he has (gasp!) money in a Swiss bank. I missed the part where reorganizing companies to keep them afloat and keeping money you’ve earned in a Swiss bank is illegal, or even a bad thing.
Nevertheless, the Obama campaign has been spinning the truth like splatter art to make it look like Mitt Romney doesn’t care about Americans because he sent jobs overseas while at Bain. Mr. Romney stepped down as the helm of Bain in 1999 to run the 2002 Salt Lake City Organizing Committee for the 2002 Winter Olympics. Obama’s people are pointing to investments made by Bain after Romney’s departure.
That would be like blaming a current Senate vote on the Junior Senator from Illinois, or five trillion in new debt since 2009 on the former president ... oh wait ...
Tell me more about this Swiss bank account: Why is it cool for Jason Bourne to have one, but not the guy running for President of the United States? I thought having a Swiss bank account was supposed to be bad ass, not something to be ashamed of. Although, if liberals want to whine about politicians with money invested overseas, they might want to take a look at Democratic National Committee Chairman Debbie Wasserman-Schultz. She has money tied up in Swiss banks too. Also foreign drug companies, and the state bank of India. So shut up about Mitt Romney already.
Since we’re on the subject of sending jobs and money overseas, let’s get back to Barack Obama. His economic policies have forced companies to expand overseas, rather than here at home. In 2010, large companies increased their domestic workforce by a mere 0.1 percent, while expanding their foreign workforce by 1.5 percent.
All those green energy initiatives? Millions of dollars went into the hands of foreign businesses as a result of the 2009 stimulus program. Because nothing says getting America back to work quite like luxury ‘green’ sports cars for movie stars built in Finland.
This is just your friendly reminder to not believe everything you hear off the bat. Do your own research and analysis, and come to your own conclusions this campaign season.
See you at the ballot box.

He's got a Swiss Bank account so that he doesn't have to report the money as income to the IRS!!
Duh Jenny he was president when the recession sent this country into a literal nose dive. So you can't blame it on Obama.
"Tell me more about the swiss bank account: I thought its supposed to be bad ass"
Um right unless you're a politician who wants to be president... You move your money off shore so you don't pay taxes on it. Can you say unamerican???
Strange though because Bush already tried to make the lives of millionaires a little more cushy by giving them tax breaks. Willard still decides to take a substantial amount of his income somewhere that doesn't require taxes.
Hold on... I read the article but so far the only love Jenny gives for Mitt is "so shut up about him already..."
Try not to get too excited about him!!!!
1. The money that is in the swiss bank account is money that he has ALREADY paid taxes on!
2. He didn't put the money there, the guy who manages his blind trust did. Romney didn't even know he had a Swiss Bank account until the media started reporting it.
3. Having a Swiss bank account is not illegal whatsoever.
You should take your own advice and not believe everything you hear or read. Your bias shows through. Everything is the so called liberals fault. Last time I check there are two major parties at work and both sides should work together for a better future for the country.
"I pay every tax I owe*"
*which is nice because most of my money is off shore and I don't owe any on that!!
What a crock. I swear Jenny, I know you love this country. Why give it to someone so ridiculous?
Actually, he's got a Swiss bank account, money in the Caymens and a shell company that he conveniently put under his wife's name when he decided way back when to run for office. The ONLY reason to have accounts in these countries is to avoid taxes, period. Why does Mr. Romney want all of you to trust in the American banking system when he clearly does not? Why does he want you all to pay taxes on your hard earned money when he clearly does not? Why has he not released 12 years of his taxes like President Obama and even (gasp!) like his own father did when he was running for president? You know why? Because Mitt made sooooo much money in the last few years, that his lines about the "suffering American economy" and "poor little job creators" just would not fly. It would be revealed that he and his job-creator minions have basically been sitting on their trillions of dollars all this time and not creating jobs at all. It would be confirmed for the millionth time that trickle down economics do not work. He wouldn't be able to cry "poor little rich boy" anymore.
Sh*t, if Obama hadn't released ten years of his tax returns the Repubs would have strung him up from the nearest flag pole by now. Hypocrites.
If I were you I wouldn't be using that to his defense. That's just straight up dumb.
@momma- having a Swiss bank account is not illegal however people on this site always say that you should take responsibility for your actions. So in that case Mitt should know about all his accounts without blaming it on someone else.
And I hope people realize that Romney gave about 40% of his income to various charities, which is on top of paying taxes. Name one other politician that is THAT giving with his own income.
