School Bus Monitor's Horrible Treatment Inspires Fundraiser to Send Her on Vacation (VIDEO)

karen kleinOnce in a very great while, a news story turns from tragic to triumphant overnight. Literally. I'm beyond thrilled to report that yesterday's sickening tale of Karen Klein, the elderly school bus monitor bullied to tears by a bunch of bratty kids, has turned out to be one of these rare miracles: An online fundraiser called "Let's Give Karen -- The Bus Monitor -- Klein a Vacation," started by one of the thousands of people around the world who were completely outraged by the treatment Klein received, has already raised over $144,000.

I sincerely hope the vile kid who yelled, "You're so f**kin' poor, you fat a**" feels like a complete and total fool. I also hope that when and if Klein takes her entire family on a Disney cruise (as she's mentioned wanting to do), she sends those kids tons and tons and tons of postcards: "DON'T wish you were here!"

Especially because the story gets even more heartbreaking as more details are revealed. The worst part? One of the most heartless comments made in the video was "you're so ugly your kid should kill themselves." Klein's son committed suicide just 10 years ago.

So horrible. Utterly detestable. Even as a grandmother of eight who was a school bus driver for 20 years and has been a bus monitor for three years, Klein was blown away by this particular display of cruelty:

"Sometimes you expect kids to be like they acted, but not that bad. They weren't that bad all year. That one day, I don't know what possessed them."

Possessed is right. The little demons. School officials said there will be disciplinary actions taken, no details involving the punishment have been released yet. I just hope it fits the crime.

Have fun on your cruise, Karen!! You deserve it!!

What do you think Karen Klein should do with the money?

The video sickened me! I can't believe some of the stuff those kids were saying "she has no family left because her son killed himself!" WTF is wrong with these kids?!?!  Who made them so heartless? I swear if that was my kid I would have beat his ass! I think the parents of those horrible vile children should make them publicly apologize to her.  Shame on them!!!!

Those kids should have to do 500 hours of community service. I am glad people raised money for her, I hope she can retire. This makes me sick to think about, them asking why her face was wet when she was crying.....it really is shameful that humans can act like that.

I hope enough donations are made that she's able to retire.  The total was over $188K when I checked a few minutes ago.

I really hope that she has the absolute best time. That she enjoys that time with her family, and that those kids get nailed to the frikin wall. Still can't believe this video.

I am ashamed to say I am from this area, and went to a Greece school myself. Just 10 years ago, I was around their age. I could NEVER imagine treating ANYONE like that, let alone an ELDERLY woman. It took me a few tries to finally get through the video I was SO disgusted. I was going to send her flowers and a gift card hoping she could take her family out to a nice dinner, or go buy herself something nice, but this is insane, and at the hands of every good hearted person in the world, I hope this woman never has to go back and potentially experience anything like that ever again. I have a 2 year old, and teaching them to always respect others, and treat people as you wish to be treated is as important as teaching them any other thing, such as their numbers, to read, etc. Their should be SERIOUS consequences for these children. They didn't just bully this woman. They threatened to break into her home, steal her items, and stab her in her "fat" stomach.*sigh*

This restores my faith in humanity. I'm so happy people rallied for this woman and to teach those little heartless creeps that their actions are not and *should* not be the norm. Bravo to all that donated and may she enjoy her family vacation!

I'm so glad the online community is rallying around this poor woman. The total as of this posting is now $240,000. I hope she makes enough to retire and never have to deal with such abuse ever again.

This video literally brought me to tears, and the main reason being is that I have and had a Grandma that I can't even begin to explain how much I love(d).  I could not imagine anyone talking to my Grandma....or anyone for that matter like this.  These boys need a to be punished and the parents need to take responsibility and quit whining about how this is affecting their kids by going viral, those tough talking wanna-be brats didn't think twice about being curel to this woman and posting it on the internet.....if they feel threatened good, maybe they might know how this innocent LADY they choose to bully felt.

I hope those kids are PERMANENTLY banned from the bus.  Maybe then their parents will be inconvenienced enough to DEAL WITH THEIR KIDS.  Sorry little rat bastards should have to WALK, preferably several miles a day.  Object lessons can teach kids a lot of respect.
