Rielle Hunter's new tell-all What Really Happened: John Edwards, Our Daughter, and Me has a long list of seedy revelations: sneaking into his hotel room, paparazzi chases, his relationship with their love child.
Though the most sad and shocking tidbit from the bio is that Elizabeth Edwards kept a picture of John and Rielle as her screensaver.
In an excerpt printed in People Magazine, she described how Edwards' cancer-stricken wife first reacted to news of the affair.
Elizabeth requested all the tapes (I’d made of the campaign). She locked herself in a room to watch. On one tape she saw Johnny walking into a room and his reaction to seeing me. She apparently told him that he never once looked at her the way he looked at me. So she took that bit and put it on her computer as a screen saver in order to watch it over and over again.
The poor woman probably thought she was tormenting her cheating husband, using the image as a painful reminder of his foolish, political career-killing indiscretion. But in an attempt to punish John, Elizabeth was ultimately just tormenting herself.
I can't imagine she didn't bristle every time the image popped onto the screen. No doubt she was in agony over her marriage crumbling and the public humiliation. Wouldn't a move like this only dig the knife in deeper.
And I am sure Elizabeth is rolling her eyes from the great beyond about Rielle's lingering feelings for the ex-Senator: “I’m still in love with John,” she wrote. “That didn’t go away, shockingly enough. Marriage? I have no idea. I’m not a big fan of the institution, but never say never.”
Well Rielle, I just have one bit of advice for you, compliments of my Granny Ethel Mae: If he'll do it with you, he'll do it to you!

Not to take any blame away from John Edwards, but... I just find it really sick that a woman would latch on to a man who is grieving a wife's illness. Then she gets pregnant to hold on, hold ever, him. He's a POS for having the affair, but she is just 10 times worse. Every time I see her picture, I just want to punch her skank face. I really feel for their child. It will be hell growing up with this kind of garbage for parents.
Didn't Elizabeth write a book? Can we see her picture instead of nasty, skank-woman?
I am so disgusted and over the whole new trend that seems to make cheateres and the whores they sleep with the victims as opposed to just labeling them the amoral, unkind, uncaring people they really are. If Elizabeth Edwards "tortured' John Edwards it was no more then he deserved. He and Rielle Hunter need to go crawl back under whatever rocks they climbed from under. Is this the era of the cheater??? It seems that everyone today wants to justify and excuse unexcusable behavior. If he was unhappy in the relationship, he should have gotten out. He and Rielle are no better than filth I have no sympathy for either of them.

Elizabeth Edwards was a classy educated lady. A wonderful mother & devoted wife who put her cancer battle behind campaigning for the husband she believed in. John Edwards betrayed his wife, the mother of his children & his supporter for decades. What he wanted was a quick piece, what he got was a psycho bitch, gold digger who managed to get herself pregnant to have lifetime support. This is far from love it's lust & you are a disgusting tramp, slandering a dead woman to make your affair ok when everyone knows you are a shameful slut. Your daughter will see you for the whore you are. God will have the last say re your affair try explaining your choices to him....
Perhaps it wasn't about tormenting John, but about being unable to let go of what he did to her. She's a tramp who had an affair with a married man and then brought an innocent child into her selfish, disgusting relationship. What kind of person has a child with a married man? She feels no shame and the criticizes the woman that she wronged, and the family she tore apart?
