A father is accused of tossing his 2-year-old daughter into a creek while still strapped in her car seat.
Prosecutors say back in November Arthur Morgan-Glover asked the girl's mother if he could take her to a movie. When he didn't return a few hours later, she called police, who found little Tierra's body in a park creek.
According to police reports, the toddler was still alive and snug in her car seat when he threw her from a New Jersey overpass into the freezing water. To make sure it sank, he weighed the seat down with a car jack.
Morgan is charged with murder in addition to interference with custody and child endangerment. If convicted, he could get life in prison without the possibility of parole -- the harshest penalty in New Jersey.
But I have to ask, is that really harsh enough for a crime so heinous and so cruel. It is horrifying to think of this toddler's final, terror filled moments. As often as crimes against children fill the news, I will never get used to stories like these. It is a heartbreaking shame.
What do you think of this case?

I'm with Anon, didn't his out-of-character call to take her to see a 'dancing penguins' movie raise suspicion? Clearly he hated the baby mama more than he loved his own child. So instead of him paying child support to her, NJ taxpayers now have to pay 'convict' support for prison. That is messed up. I'm thinking family law needs to be reviewed esp in cases where the parents are acrimonious unmarried/exes. Mandatory psyche eval!
It's the court systems fault that he was aloud visitation. The court told the mother that she can not deny unsupervised visits even though it was documented that he abused the mother. He was taking her for a scheduled visit not a random call for a visit. They are in fact now investigating Child services who promoted him seeing the child unsupervised in the custody hearing. The man is a monster and deserves to be castrated and drowned.
Thanks, babybluejess12 for the info. You had to know there was smoke there, except this time it was with CPS. CPS and courts throughout the US notoriously wait for something bad to happen before amending visitation or referring it to the police/DA. Too late here.
But a father wanting to spend time with his daughter? Really, you and Anon, that's a red flag? This monster was an animal and should be put down like an animal, but really, now, some perhaps even many men who want to spend time with their daughters, might actually love their daughters and don't have nefarious motives. Just saying.
When it comes to children I'm in the camp of stab that person in the fuckin' face and leave them to die in their own blood! Or announce a persons crimes as they enter general population the other prisoners will take care of it REAL quick!
