A father is accused of tossing his 2-year-old daughter into a creek while still strapped in her car seat.
Prosecutors say back in November Arthur Morgan-Glover asked the girl's mother if he could take her to a movie. When he didn't return a few hours later, she called police, who found little Tierra's body in a park creek.
According to police reports, the toddler was still alive and snug in her car seat when he threw her from a New Jersey overpass into the freezing water. To make sure it sank, he weighed the seat down with a car jack.
Morgan is charged with murder in addition to interference with custody and child endangerment. If convicted, he could get life in prison without the possibility of parole -- the harshest penalty in New Jersey.
But I have to ask, is that really harsh enough for a crime so heinous and so cruel. It is horrifying to think of this toddler's final, terror filled moments. As often as crimes against children fill the news, I will never get used to stories like these. It is a heartbreaking shame.

Kimberly, way to go blaming Mom. Moms only mistake in this may have been choosing a Loser to have a kid with. My own older brother knocked a girl up in a 3 week relationship, and when he was arrested for not paying child support (you don't wrap it up, you'd better get ready to pay up) he told the judge he'd rather kill his son than pay for him. Hence a longer sentence. But way to be a judgemental Witch and blame the mom, hope it makes you feel better. No matter what ANYONE does to you, Killing your child by them is never a good choice or one you're driven to by someone else's actions, it's the move of a coward and a monster.
I will second Lord K's comment, which is shocking to me as I usually don't agree with him. However, my husband is a correctional officer in a state prison and it SICKENS me the amount of money that is spent to house and feed the inmates. I will say that I happen to know that a lot of money is spent on the actual execution itself (yes, I live in a state that DOES have the death penalty), however, execution is a one and done fee, a life sentence could go on for DECADES and adds up quick.
