Drone Aircraft Mistaken for a UFO -- Let the Conspiracy Theories Begin!

by Adriana Velez on June 14, 2012 at 5:56 PM

droneLast night around 11:00 p.m. hundreds lots of people saw a drone aircraft being transported in Washington, D.C. and thought it was a UFO. The plane traveled on the back of a flatbed truck down I-270, then I-495 (in case you're familiar with the area). It was on its way to Patuxent Naval Air Station in Maryland -- definitely not to Roswell, New Mexico.

This was an X-47B Unmanned Combat Air System made by Northrup Grumman, not an alien BleeBlorpV99 made by Quasar-Centaurus. I saw an alien BleeBlorpV99 one night from my back porch and it looks nothing like this plane here. I'm just saying.

Silly people! When the government finds a UFO they immediately disguise it, then transport it to a hiding place, then erase all witnesses' memories. They don't just parade it through our nation's capital. Everyone knows that! Haven't you seen Men in Black?

But more to the point, I wonder if maybe our super-awesome powerful no-pilot areoplanes are becoming so high tech they're just too confusing for us to witness in real life. Maybe the military really should start disguising them before they're transported.

Or maybe I'm just being naive. How better for the CIA (or whatever) to disguise an alien aircraft than to parade through our nation's capital in full view. Hiding in plain sight! Oh wait -- it was 11:00 at night so that doesn't really make sense. Or does it...? I'm sure if we put our heads together we could come up with a compelling conspiracy theory here.

Have you ever seen a drone aircraft in person?

My husband works at NAS Pax River, he gets amused by the hoopla made over the drones since he is near them every day.

I don't see it as a big deal. I work at NAS Pax River and see them daily. No conspiracy theory.
