tot thrown from suv

Police had no idea a 1-year-old girl was in the back seat of an SUV they were chasing last weekend.

A jaw dropping video caught by a police dash cam shows the child being thrown from the car as it crashed and rolled over several times. Amazingly she stood up and tried to walk back to the SUV on her own.

Just minutes before the crash, her 17-year-old father Kenny Shawn Jimenez and 16-year-old mother, along with two other teens, had allegedly robbed a woman at gunpoint before taking off in the SUV.

After she gave Jimenez her purse, robbery victim Chelsea Betenbough said she noticed the baby in the back seat. "He was getting in the car and I said, 'All that with a baby in the back seat?'" she told KCBD television. "I was shocked I saw her."

After the crash, the video shows one of the suspects grabbing the girl and running away. Though police say they captured them in a backyard not very far away. The toddler was treated at a local hospital and walked away with just a few cuts and bruises.

She only suffered a few boo-boos! Can you believe it? A crash like that could have killed everyone inside. That little girl, now staying with relatives, is lucky to be alive. It is nothing short of a miracle, don't you think?

Are you amazed that toddler walked away with no major injuries?

I am disgusted! I myself am a young mom but some teens just need their tubes tide. I would never put my child in any kind of danger. A robbery? Are you kidding me? If your going to go rob with your friends at least put your kid on a carseat. Poor baby she deserves so much better than that. Im glad she is ok. God bless her.

I saw this and it made me so sad that she is so young and doesn't know any better except to get up and walk back to the vehicle where there are people she thinks care about her. I can't believe one of the guys actually got out and grabbed her. I am so happy she is ok but she needs to be with people who trully love her. Poor poor baby.

That is incredible. Poor little baby. I'm so glad she's okay, and hopefully said relatives are better caretakers than her parents are.

That is so crazy, how did so many teens end up with so little supervision? If a teen is iresponsible enough to have a kid at 15, why were they allowed to continue to hang out with one another? I think all the families of the kids in that car failed the toddler, I hope the relatives the toddler is staying with live in a different state and actually watch thier kids.

The girl that got robbed had to have told the police about the baby. They should have just taken down the plate number and caught them some other time. I mean armed robbery is serious but nothing is worth risking a toddlers life in a high speed chase.

I didn't hav my first (and only) child til I was 21, but I helped raise my younger siblings as I'm the oldest of 4 kids, and id never put any of my SIBLINGS in a dangerous situation like that or anything else!! I agree wit the one who said its kids like these that not only give teen moms a bad name, but also the TEEN FATHERS don't look too hot thanks to this jacka$$!!
