Piers Morgan got exclusive scoop on Casey Anthony! Last night on his show, he revealed the phone interview he did with Casey Anthony, the infamous woman who was tried for the murder of her young daughter. We didn't get to actually hear the actual phone conversation, unfortunately. But he gave us some direct quotes -- and they're shockers.
Piers chatted about his conversation with Casey with her attorney, J. Cheney Mason. Who else would know Casey better than her lawyer? Then again, who else has a stake in portraying her as an innocent woman even after the trial is over. Here are the most outrageous revelations.
"Obviously I didn't kill my daughter." This was reportedly the first thing Casey told Piers. All he asked was if there were any misconceptions she wanted to clear up. That was the biggie for her. Apparently to Casey it should be obvious to us by now that she's innocent.
"She's my greatest accomplishment." And to really drive the point home, Casey added, "If anything there's nothing in this world I've ever been more proud of, and there's no one I loved more than my daughter. She's my greatest accomplishment." Wow! Half of the audience was probably yelling at their TVs, "Then why did you kill her?!?" But maybe it's true.
"I'm ashamed of the person I was." Casey tells Piers that she's watched the interviews she's done and she thinks they're horrible. "It looks absolutely horrible. I'm ashamed of the person I was because even then, that wasn't who I am." Maybe we really did never know the real Casey Anthony.
Do you believe Casey Anthony? Did we misunderstand her all along, or is she just trying to reinvent herself now?

Of course she had to grant Piers an interview, we were all starting to comfortably forget about her.
Don't and won't believe a word that comes out of her mouth. She should go back to the rock she crawled out from.
Cases like this make me fear our judicial system. She's only "innocent" because no one could definitively prove she did it. She successfully destroyed some piece of evidence that connected her. But I still don't understand how you could look at her and trust anything she says, especially considering she's been tried for perjery. If she's gonna lie to the courts immediately following her daughter's death then she's been lying about much much more. It's a shame such a beautiful child was born to such an evil person.
procrastamom - I found her saying she "loved" Caylee to be really off too. I say that I love my friends and family that have passed away. I'm positive if my child died I'd say I'd love him/her until the day I die.
