Michelle Obama is definitely the most wired First Lady of all time.
She has more than a million followers on Twitter and 7.5 million "likes" on Facebook. But she's not stopping there!
This morning, word comes from the Obama campaign that Michelle Obama has joined Pinterest! You know our fashionable First Lady couldn't resist being part of what's become a nationwide addiction to "pinning"!

Election talk, rhetoric, back-and-forth, arguing aside, it is charming -- and charm, I've noticed, is something at which Mrs. Obama excels.
She created a special Father's Day board, featuring photos of the President with his daughters, Sasha and Malia. She also included a photo of her own father, Fraser Robinson. The board is a touching look at the private life of the President.
Covering the campaign 24-7, I get a little tired of all the negativity involved in any presidential election. This Pinterest board is just the kind of thing I like to see. Statements from Michelle like, "With everything that he has on his plate, Barack always makes time for our daughters" and "We are dad’s biggest fans, each and every day" just make me happy. Regardless of your politics, it's nice to see the tender, family side of a president.
Mrs. Obama still has some serious work to do to catch up with Ann Romney on Pinterest, though. Mrs. Romney already has several boards up on the site, including a Family board featuring Mitt Romney with his children and grandchildren. I'm loving the photos of Mitt sledding with one grandson and reading a bedtime story to another. This is a side of the candidate I'd like to see more of in public!
Mrs. Romney also has created boards for favorite recipes, crafts, books, and other things she loves.
Could Mr. Obama and Mr. Romney be the next to join Pinterest? What kinds of boards do you think they'd create? Let me know in the comments!
