Friends, family, and fans can breathe a huge sigh of relief this morning, because Lindsay Lohan is ok after the car accident involving her Porsche and an 18-wheeler on the Pacific Coast Highway yesterday afternoon. Though she was immediately rushed to the hospital after the crash, she managed to escape the incident without any serious injuries. One of her assistants was a passenger in the car, and sustained minor bruises & bleeding.
LiLo was seen leaving the hospital just two hours after she arrived, and she looked, well -- completely fine.
An investigation is underway to determine the cause of the accident -- but one scenario can definitely be ruled out. Lindsay was not intoxicated or under the influence of any substances at the time of the crash. (Total shocker, I know. But in a good way.)
There is speculation that she was being followed by paparazzi at the time of the accident, which is pretty scary. (You know, given the whole Princess Diana thing.)
You'd think that Lindsay would want to go home and rest after having such a huge shake up -- but instead, she went straight back to work on the set of her new movie, Liz & Dick. (Talk about dedication.) TMZ is reporting that she insisted on resuming filming right away, even though she sustained a few cuts and bruises. A makeup crew supposedly came to her assistance so the show could go on.
Huh. Sure sounds like Lilo is finally getting her act back together -- in more ways than one.
