From the beginning of the Trayvon Martin tragedy, I haven't been as certain of what happened that night as a lot of other people seem to be. There are really only two people who know what happened that night, and one of them is dead. The other one thinks he knows, but he only knows his version of events. Now a medical report has been leaked to the press that says that George Zimmerman, who was arrested for the second-degree murder, suffered a "closed fracture" broken nose and two black eyes.
The Martin family has their suspicions about the medical report, which was made a day after the incident by Zimmerman's family doctor. They note that Zimmerman never went to the hospital or received medical treatment on the scene.
But bolstering the theory that some sort of scuffle occurred is the autopsy of Trayvon Martin, which apparently showed that he had bruises on his knuckles. However, a physical fight between the two could be argued either way: Zimmerman felt he was in danger for his life and acted in self-defense OR Martin felt he was in danger for his life and acted in self-defense. Injuries only say one thing: A fight happened. They don't say WHY a fight happened.
The fact remains only one of the men had a gun. The other had a bag of Skittles. Only one is alive to tell his version of events. The other must have his story told through eyewitness accounts, phone call logs, and other evidence.
I will say if a strange man ever approaches me in a threatening manner, I will get my dukes up. I live in the city, and I'm on constant alert, and I will fight first and ask questions later if I feel I'm in danger. Of course, this could end up as badly for me as it did for Martin. But you do what you feel is right at the time.
What do Zimmerman's injuries say to you?

I read an article that was very informative on Yahoo awhile back gave a lot of background information about the gas. Black teenage males had been reported as robbing several houses in the neighborhood, but by the time the police were called, they had gotten away. Zimmerman was following Treyvon because he thought Treyvon could possibly be one of the robbers and he wanted to make sure he didn't get away before the police came. I wish I had the article link, but it was so informative about what the details actually surrounding the shooting. The media has distorted this case so much that it is hard to tell what is true and what is exagerrations.
@Christen Zimerman was told not to follow the young man but he did anyways. He was also not suppose to be armed with a gun.
Lets stick to the FACTS, the FACT is if Zimmerman stayed in his car and let the police do their jobs then none of this would have ever happened in the first place. That is something nobody can argue with. CASE CLOSED.
The injuries prove nothing since he didn't bother getting a medical evaluation as soon after being taken into custody as possible, Who knows, given his other lies (such as "I didn't know how old he was" when he told the police it was a black male in his late teens), he may have had a friend or family member punch him to shore up his excuse for the homicide. He could even have self-inflicted the injuries intentionally or unintentionally. Remember that there was NO sign of nasal swelling or black eyes in the police station video tape and the head wound was quite superficial. As for the nonsense that Zimmerman did not approach Martin, he clearly said he was following him and was told to stop. The fatal encounter was a heck of a long way from his car. And ironically, under the stupid "stand your ground" law, Martin was entitled to use deadly force if he felt threatened by some large strange guy following him for simply walking home.
Actually if Martin's parents would have parented him he would have never been in that neighborhood that evening in the first place. And stop using a pic that's 5 years old. Good children do not get suspended 3x and then allowed to have cell phones, visit the non-custodial parent and walk to the store for junk food. He also put up his hood after he noticed Zimmerman following him. Who does that? And I'm sorry but I would find that suspicious too, especially given the string of robberies in that area. If I noticed someone following me and I was on the phone to my husband, I would walk quickly to a safe place and tell my husband to call 911 from another line but to stay on the phone with me. Not put up my hoodie and run.
Mr. Zimmerman had a concealed weapons permit. That and the second amendment of our Constitution says he can carry a firearm.
What this tells me is that his `injuries' were not commensuratewith the use of deadly force. In essence, Mr. Zimmermann has a `doctors note' which might get him out of gym class back in HS, but as a defense in a 2nd degree murder charge? I don't think so.
How did he not APPROACH Trayvon he was in the car when he called 911 and they told him not to follow him and he did anyways, he should of listened and not follwed or get out of his car.
