Obama Campaign Offers Lucky Winner a Date With the Prez AND George Clooney!

by Lindsay Ferrier on April 19, 2012 at 5:49 PM

George ClooneyIn the fight for reelection, the Obama campaign is pulling out the big guns -- and it doesn't get much bigger than George Clooney.

Right now, a donation to Obama for America automatically enters the donor for a chance to have dinner with President Obama and George Clooney at George Clooney's house in LA.

How on earth is Mitt Romney going to counter this?

Would you donate to the Obama campaign for a chance to attend this dream dinner party?

If the answer is yes, then go ahead and clear your calendar for May 10 -- that's the date set for the grand soiree.

Of course, you know the Romney campaign must be spitting mad about this crafty little push for donations by Obama for America. I checked to see which celebrity Republican might agree to hold a dinner donation contest for Mitt. Here are a few of his best options:

1. Drew Carey

2. Adam Sandler

3. The Rock

4. 50 Cent

5. Jessica Simpson

6. Bruce Willis

7. Clint Eastwood

8. Sylvester Stallone

9. Gloria Estefan

10. LL Cool J

Hmm. Not bad, but none of them really reach Clooney status.

Maybe if Mitt can convince them all to come to the dinner, though ... now we're talking!

As for George Clooney, the fact that he's hosting the dinner comes as no real surprise -- lately, he's been quite active on the political scene. After visiting the Sudan, he testified in March before a Senate committee about attacks by Sudanese forces on unarmed civilians. Later, he and his father were arrested by police during a protest at Sudan's embassy.

With this latest dinner party news, one might think Clooney is considering a run for office, but he told Newsweek recently that a Clooney campaign will never be in his future. According to him, “I [expletive]'d too many chicks and did too many drugs, and that’s the truth.”

Erm. Okay. Now that we've cleared that up ...

What do you think about the dinner date contest? Will you enter? (And if you win, WILL YOU TAKE ME??)

Kinda classy that Obama surrounds himself with someone who freely admits he has f***ed too many girls, and done too many drugs, at least he was honest I guess.  Then there is Bill and his antics who donated a ton to the campaign. N~I~C~E. Obviously, NO! I wouldn't donate a penny.

No, if that is your only reason for donating then you are a very shallow person

No thanks. That sounds more like a nightmare than a dream date. Dinner with two pompous self absorbed men, no thank you.

Nope. Wouldn't make me donate. This is actually the dumbest idea I have heard in a long time. I like Clooney, but even not enough to donate to Obama. Nope, Notta, Never.
