Sometimes, the human race disappoints and appalls you in ways you never thought possible. A 28-year-old man named Kenneth Turner got his ex-girlfriend pregnant. But he didn't want the child. So, instead of trying to figure out what he was going to do/how he was going to deal, he allegedly broke into her apartment and stomped on her stomach -- with both feet -- in order to kill the unborn baby.
According to the complaint that was filed, Turner entered his ex's apartment last week and beat and assaulted her for three hours. He reportedly kicked, punched, hit, and choked her numerous times; and for his finale, he ordered her to lay on her back so he could stomp on her abdomen -- oh, all while telling her she didn't deserve the baby. When she was eventually found, she had bruises all over her body, as well as vaginal bleeding and, obviously, pain in her abdomen.
I've been blogging for a decent amount of time, and I have to say: This could be one of the most disgusting, horrifying stories I've ever heard. That's Turner's solution for an unwanted pregnancy? Beating the everliving crap out of his ex-girlfriend? And stomping her stomach? WTF? Ugh, I seriously am nauseated just thinking about this.
Turner's been taken in and charged (and is being held on $500,000 bail), and if the allegations prove to be true, he's in for a seriously rude awakening. He could be facing charges of first-degree attempted murder of an unborn child, as well as domestic assault. Guess some people would rather do time than pay child support (or wear a condom). Hopefully, if he's convicted, he'll be in there for life. Disgusting.

I think he should be charged with 2 counts of attempted first degree murder. He beat her up without regard to her life - she could have died and he wouldn't have cared less. There were 2 people that nearly died. With that being said "attempted" murder means that neither she nor her baby died. I will say this - when that baby is born he has a very special life to lead and will make a significant impact on the world.
Michelle Sirmans Emanuel i think your comment is ridiculous, if she had chosen to have an abortion(wich she did not) is not the same as having someone batter you and killing your baby...sheesh the attempted murder in this case should be for both mother and baby , he could of caused injuries to her that could of resulted in her death also... comparing abortion and beating to death is to me "food for thought" appaling
Some of the comments on the news story just make me want to choke someone. No compassion at all for the victims of the crime. I just don't get it. Are most mid-west people like that (insensitive) because they haven't really been exposed to different races?
The original article said the BABY SURVIVED. I hope the bastard gets the death sentece. But reality says he wont and will more than likely be out in the next 15 years with hatred for the baby momma and the baby. It is people like this that make the world as fucked up as it is. I wish we could just shoot all the criminals and have it done with. Would totally make this world a better placce for our kids to grow up in.
