In terrifying, embarrassing news today, country legend and right-wing activist Ted Nugent was speaking at an NRA event recently and told attendees to go home and recruit "everybody in your lives to clean house in this vile, evil, America-hating administration ... wiping its ass with the Constitution." Yes. Really.
Not sure that you can brush that off as typical, aggressive election year rhetoric. Especially because it got even worse, with Nugent alluding to assassinating the President.
Nugent continued:
If Barack Obama becomes the president in November, again, I will either be dead or in jail by this time next year. If you can't galvanize and promote and recruit people to vote for Mitt Romney, we're done. We'll be a suburb of Indonesia next year. Our president, attorney general, vice president, Hillary Clinton -- they're criminals. They're criminals. Who doesn't know the crimes our government are committing?
Sounds like a few lines in there would be better used to describe the Guantanamo waterboard-loving, war-spurring administration of George W. Bush. But anyway, as if that weren't bad enough, at one point, Nugent compared Obama to a coyote that should be shot.
It isn't the enemy that ruined America. It's good people who bent over and let the enemy in. If the coyote's in your living room pissing on your couch, it's not the coyote's fault. It's your fault for not shooting him.
The reaction from the audience? GRINS. And applause!!! What the ...? That is just plain sick and frightening. But okay, hopefully, most people who aren't in the fringe know Nugent is a looney toon, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't take his scary threats seriously. (The Secret Service is currently investigating the matter.) Furthermore, the establishment Republicans can just turn a blind eye to this rave. Much like Rush Limbaugh, Nugent's associated with the party, and he was speaking directly to their voters. Thus, it is imperative that Mitt Romney denounce these remarks. The DNC has already called for the presumptive candidate to release a statement, and if he's smart, he'll do so ASAP.
Because sorry, Mittens, you can't just represent the nutbag fringe far right. If you actually want to win, you gotta get some sane people to vote for you, too.
What's more, as a potential leader, Romney owes it to his party and the American people to do the right, responsible thing by setting the record straight. John McCain's 2008 run was disgraceful in many ways, but to his credit, he did set that ridiculous woman at one of his rallies straight when she cried out that she didn't trust Obama, because she heard he was an "Arab!"
I can't help but remember that embarrassing incident now. Romney needs to step up to the plate and distance himself from Nugent. To sit back and let this violent insanity reign supreme among any supporters would be nothing less than irresponsible.
Here's Ted Nugent's rave-out caught on film ...
Do you agree Mitt Romney needs to denounce Ted Nugent's rave?

This is the same lovely gentleman, who in 2008, announced to a crowd that Hillary and Barack could "suck on this", as he held up a semi automatic weapon. He is a psychotic washed up has been. Incedently, not long after that little incident, Huckabee had him as a guest on his show, and played with his band on "Cat Scratch Fever", which includes the lyrics "make your pussy purr with the touch of my hand". Real family friendly and conservative there Huck.
He bills himself as "The Motor-City Madman." 'Nuff said.
It's good people who bent over and let the enemy in.
This from a man who dodged the Vietnam draft by urinating and deficating in his pants for a week and ceased washing, so that they wouldn't take him. Wasn't too concerned about the enemy then was he? Gee Republicans, is this the best poster boy you could get?
Look, he says stupid stuff and so do democrats. But you cannot expect Romney nor Obama to distance themselves, every single time someone says something dumb. They are not responsible for what they say. Nugent doesnt speak for the Republican party.
Once again billsfan's go to comeback is "Well Obama......." So predictable.
My question was rhetorical.
And do me a favor, dont like what I post, please for the love of God, block me.
