George Zimmerman Is An Even Bigger Coward Than We Thought (VIDEO)

trayvon martin george zimmerman I can't think of any possible explanation that would make what George Zimmerman did excusable. But prosecutors' most recent claims make Zimmerman look like even more of a pathetic coward than he did before. Didn't think it was possible, right? Well, get a load of this: Apparently Zimmerman told investigators that after the dispatcher instructed him to stop following Trayvon Martin and he returned to his SUV, he was confronted by the teen -- violently.

According to Zimmerman, Martin asked him "if he had a problem." Zimmerman said no, Martin said something like, "Well, you do now," and hit him in the nose. Then Martin slammed Zimmerman's head into the concrete several times.

That's right, then 17-year-old Trayvon Martin supposedly slammed 28-year-old George Zimmerman's head into the concrete.

His account has been "corroborated" by (unnamed) witnesses. And Florida authorities sure are selling the story as legit. From the Orlando Sentinel:

"With a single punch, Trayvon Martin decked the Neighborhood Watch volunteer who eventually shot and killed the unarmed 17-year-old, then Trayvon climbed on top of George Zimmerman and slammed his head into the sidewalk several times, leaving him bloody and battered, authorities have revealed to the Orlando Sentinel."

Yikes. Are they sure that was Trayvon Martin? Cause it kinda sounds like it was the Incredible Hulk. Not a skinny, "baby-faced" 17-year-old. Cause I don't have specific measurements for Zimmerman, but he doesn't look like a man of small stature. To me. Just saying.

Whew! Well, I guess nobody can blame Zimmerman now.

Except everybody.

... did Zimmerman have the injuries to back up his claim? If his head had been slammed into the concrete repeatedly, there would be scrapes, bruises... seems like an obvious way to determine if he's telling the truth.

Correction most who shoot in self defense aim not to kill. At least in most self defense cases Ive heard. This case just pisses me off.

While I believe Zimmerman was in the wrong, what is so hard to believe about a 17yo being big enough to beat up a 28yo? My brother was taller than most grown men at 17yo. That's just plain dumb, OK? Martin was not a "little boy." He was a minor and he probably was being intimidated and I do believe he got physical with Zimmerman because Zimmerman scared him. That does not mean Zimmerman was not guilty for shooting him.

thank you, Jacqueline Burt, for saying this. the Orlando Sentinel has demonstrated itself to be the accomplice of the Sanford Police's attempt at a cover-up. the article was filled with "the authorities said this" and "the [unnamed, anonymous] witnesses said that". y should we believe those same "authorities" that were so incompetent that they failed to include the testimony of a key witness (Trayvon's girlfriend), give Zimmerman a toxicology test (which is standard protocol for the Shooter in a shooting), and, oh right, ARREST the shooter rather than just believing his flimsy "self-defense" story? and 140-lb. Trayvon was beating 250-lb. George Zimmerman? right. and if there was a scuffle, Trayvon should be defending himself from a 250lb. big man aggressor who was following him. and 3 non-anonymous witnesses have already come forward saying that they believe the screams for help were coming from Trayvon, not from George. and we've all heard the 911 tapes. i'd like to hear what Zimmerman's screaming sounds like. countless times in history, racist police departments have lied, tampered with evidence, fabricated testimony,relied on the testimony of racist witnesses, etc. etc. if it turns out that that is what the Sanford Police did here, i would not at all be surprised. not. at. all. George Zimmerman MUST be put on trial, and a judge and jury needs to evaluate the evidence.

I think Zimmerman was high on something and went out "hunting" that night. this policeman wanna be was on a power trip. he was told to return to his vehicle, and DO NOT follow this kid. He chose to ignore that, and now a kid is dead. Why this guy didn't go through tests, was allowed to leave the scene, and was not arrested, tells me Zimmerman is buddy-buddy with someone inside the police dept.

Um. It could be true. Teenaged boys can be very strong, especially if you piss them off. I think the whole case is a tragedy all around.

Martin is 6'2" or 6'3" and a football player. The picture shown for this article is that of a 13 year Martin. I could see Zimmerman approach Martin, Martin get physical, the Zimmerman pulls his gun. I agree with the previous poster - just a tragedy all around.
