William & Kate Ditch More of That Fancy Royal Nonsense

I can't tell you how relieved I am to hear that Will and new wife Kate are so NOT down with that new "Duke" and "Duchess" ridiculousness. While watching the Royal Wedding, I kept saying there was NO WAY I was going to start calling Wills the Duke or Duke William. That's like changing a person's name halfway through their life -- oh wait, women do this all the time when they take their husband's name; heck, Kate doesn't even HAVE a last name anymore, does she?

Well, compared to a simple Prince and Princess even, Duke and Duchess also sound awfully hoity toity. In fact, it sounds royally annoying, which these two young royals are trying their darnedest not to be.

So according to the cover story in the upcoming July issue of Vanity Fair (with the above adorable candid photo on front), Will and Kate will still officially have their fancy titles -- His Royal Highness The Duke of Cambridge and Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge -- for when Queen Grandma comes to dinner; however, Will has said he will continue to be addressed as Prince William, meaning Kate will be Princess Catherine.

Really, Catherine? I'm just going to call her Princess Kate. There is NO WAY I'll ever call her Princess Catherine.

Are you glad Will and Kate ditched their new fancy titles?
