I'm not in favor of companies using sex to sell their products. But when sex benefits a good cause? Call me a hypocrite, but I'm all for it.
Fast food giant Carl's Jr. is auctioning off a "turkini" -- the bathing suit that Gizem Memic, Miss Turkey 2010, wore in its most recent commercial. And all the proceeds from the auction will go to the Homes for our Troops charity.
The suit -- adorned with 500 tiny images of charbroiled turkey burgers and autographed by Memic -- is one of three custom-made bikinis created for the Carl's Jr. ad campaign featuring the beauty queen. According to the auction description, this suit has never been worn (no cooties!), but I'm thinking the soon-to-be owner isn't exactly bidding because he or she is in the market for a bikini with turkey burgers all over it.
In addition to the turkini auction, Carl's Jr. is raising money for the Stars for Troops program in its chain restaurants. There, customers can donate $1 -- and all the money raised will be divided among Homes for Our Troops, USA Cares, and regional military charities.

The "turkini" auction is live until May 15, and currently has a bid for over $2,000.
