What has gotten in to Donald Trump these days? The Apprentice star seems to have a first class seat on a crazy train that shows no signs of slowing down. All aboard! Toot! Toot!
First, he went after Obama, yapping his trap about how the President was not born in the United States, saying awesome, insightful things like, "He grew up and nobody knew him," and:
You may go back and interview people from my kindergarten. They'll remember me. Nobody comes forward. Nobody knows who [Obama] is until later in his life. It's very strange. The whole thing is very strange.
Now he's going after Jerry Seinfeld because the comedian pulled out of a St. Jude Children's Research Hospital/Eric Trump Foundation event. Can you blame Seinfeld for not wanting to be associated with such a bag o' nuts? No. However, we can blame Trump for acting like such a petulant child afterwards. Fun!
After learning the news, Trump wrote Seinfeld an open letter. A few highlights for your viewing pleasure:
I just learned you canceled a show for my son's charity, because of the fact that I am being very aggressive with respect to President Obama, who is doing an absolutely terrible job as our leader.
We don't care that you broke your commitment, even though the children of St. Jude are very disappointed, and despite the fact that your manager clearly stated you are 'truly a man of his word.'
What I do feel badly about is that I agreed to do, and did, your failed show, 'The Marriage Ref,' even though I thought it was absolutely terrible. Despite its poor ratings, I didn't cancel on you like you canceled on my son and St. Jude. I only wish I did.
Ouch, ya jerk. Chill out. I get that it's probably annoying to have someone cancel on you last minute (even though the event is September 13), but does it really warrant a nasty, over-the-top letter like this? You only look like an immature idiot right now. Jerry, who refuses to comment on the issue (hence, looks like the bigger man), is still making a donation to the foundation. Classy, dude.
Perhaps you might like to think of this here post as an open letter to you, Mr. Trump.
You're annoying. Be quiet. People don't like you. Your hair is weird. Your wife is with you for your money. Your show sucks. Get off Seinfeld's -- and the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES' -- backs.
Hmph. Maybe you're on to something, Don. That does feel kinda good. Especially since it's never going to come back to bite me, because I don't plan on running for President. You know what I'm sayin'?
What do you think about Donald Trump's recent attack on Jerry Seinfeld?
