The sound of a barking dog can be quite annoying. The sound of a barking man can be even worse.
It was in the wee hours of Saturday night when cops pulled over in front of a pub to investigate a car accident. While surveying the damage, they heard their police dog going nuts back in their squad car, and turned around to see 25-year-old Ryan James Stephens barking and hissing at the dog through the car window.
When asked why he was harassing the poor pup, Stephens replied that the "dog started it." The officer wasn't amused and Stephens was charged with a misdemeanor and taken downtown. Pestering a police dog can get you jail time, evidently. And/or public intoxication.
Moral of the story: Never trust anyone with three first names.
