Heather Murphy-Raines/Scout's HonorAs I search out news stories that will interest you here on The Stir, there are times where I wish could take back what I see on the interwebs. You know Elder Porn and mothers smothering children or facing stoning death sentences. I wish I could just bleach my mind. Instead, I share it with you in hopes of finding meaning in a world of inexplicable acts.
Such is the case of Oklahoma City resident Arthur Sedille. Ugh. Where to begin...
Oh, yes, 23-year-old Mr. Sedille is facing possible murder charges in the death of his 50-year-old wife Rebecca Sedille who he shot point blank in the head. Those facts are not in contention.
Yet, he claims innocence. It was merely an accident he says. Yes, he put the gun to her head during sex, but he thought the gun was unloaded when he pulled the handgun's slide back.

Sexy??t appears Mr. Sedille OFTEN put a gun to his wife's head during sex. Nope, not my idea of the healthiest of sexual relations -- if it's even true.
I'm sure all of us have a juicy fantasy that plays front row every once in a while in our marriages. Nothing wrong with that at all. Furry hand cuffs? Got 'em. Silken ribbons perfect for bed posts? Guilty. Riding crop? {Blush} But a deadly weapon? No way.
And if the Sedilles did engage in such a sexual practice, why on earth would REAL bullets ever be put in their fetish toy??! Wouldn't a realistic squirt gun have been a better option?
Sadly, it looks like authorities may believe his story. Apparently, his calling the police makes him seem more innocent? CNN reports:

Never Point Guns At Those You Love
Investigators decided to arrest and jail Sedille on suspicion of first-degree murder out of an abundance of caution, said Oklahoma City police Master Sgt. Gary Knight. However, as of Tuesday afternoon, formal charges had not been filed in the investigation, which is ongoing, Knight said.
I'm going to go on record and say that if he pulls this off, I think we might expect a remarkable increase in women being banged to death by their mates.
The only thing that I can take away from this -- which is what my husband and I, as previous Army officers have ingrained in our kids since they were toddlers -- is, never point a gun at anyone or anything you don't intend to kill (especially someone you love).
Whether fantasy sex or play or protection, It's really that simple. Don't point at anything you don't mean to shoot. As for Mr. Sedille? I'm not buying it. Are you?

This isn't the first time this has happened. One was a cop that said his wife shot herself with the 'toy' but a good forensic investigator figured out he'd waited too long, and merely washed his hands after to remove the gunshot residue. I like good kinky sex as much as the next person, but this was both stupid and criminal.
She was coming and going at the same time! Yeah, I know, but "banging her to death" is not much better!

My ex used to put a gun to my head during our rape sex fantasies. And before anyone jumps down my throat, I have been raped twice in my life, I just don't let it affect me the way some women do, and now for some sick reason, it gets me hot. So yes, I believe him.
Dawn you should probably see a therapist if after you have been raped you think it is " hot" to act it out during sex now. There may be some underlying psychological issues you need worked out. And I'm not saying it to be mean. As a rape victim it's kind of disturbing that you would feel that way about rape after you; yourself have gone through it not once but twice. And i think it is possible this guy is telling the truth. Just as other people have said they have done the same thing. I think it's screwed up to have rape as a sex fantasy; but if that's what they like then that's what they like. I would hate to see such a young person go to jail for so long all because of an accident. And maybe they had the gun in the home for protection and that's why it was loaded, they should have definitely checked first! It's sad that it happened but if this is something they did on a regular basis in the bedroom she should have made sure that there were no bullets in the gone too before she let someone put it to her head and pull the trigger
Whether he did it intentionally is not important to me. He did it. He was negligent with pulling a trigger of a LOADED gun and killed someone. He needs to be charged for murder.
