In a video making its way around the Web, a couple had full-blown sex on a subway in Vienna with no worries as to the other passengers surrounding them.

If you don't want to subject yourself to it, suffice it to say it's very graphic. There's no doubt AT ALL as to what's happening, and they make no attempt to disguise it. Witnesses say they weren't a couple, and just went their separate ways after departing the train. No one even alerted the driver.
While two people going at it on a train knowing others are around is disturbing enough, perhaps even more disturbing is the reaction of their fellow passengers. They are not only watching, but cheering, filming, getting up and close to document the whole things.
I'm sure the couple was drunk, but what excuse do the passengers have? Shouldn't someone have told them to stop? Or thrown a blanket over them? Or something?
Gawker is asking if the sex partners are heros or villains.

God knows if I was on an empty subway car with an eligible gentleman who seemed willing that I would try some shenanigans."
Besides the germ factor and the disgust of thinking of the next person sitting on that seat, I can't think of anything less sexy than this. The idea of sex in a public space is one thing when you think you won't get caught, but to actually do it in public, with an audience, is just ... inconsiderate at best.
Heroes? No way. Drunk, stupid and lacking in any kind of decency or self respect, absolutely -- and most of that goes for those filming and cheering too.

What separates us from animals is our ability to have self respect, shame and dignity. Perhaps I pride myself on being a bit too evolved to find seeing people screwing like troglodytes in public amusing or acceptable. It is just sex? How sad for you that feel this. How sad. Would you feel this if it was your daughter? Your son? Your Husband? Is that what you think of your ability to choose and select who and when you have relations with? Humans have that gift. The gift to say "no" The gift to say when. The gift to make it a beautiful meaningful experience and yet it comes down to humping like animals in public and that seems to be "OK". That is sad.
No, what is sad is people saying to 'pepper spray' them or 'start kicking' them.
Well if they are going to act like animals then they must be treated like such. If a dog was out trying to screw another dog in my yard I would turn the hose on them; in this case, kicking the people or spraying them with pepper spray just happens to be the easiest way of getting them to stop. It's just wrong to do in public. I don't care their urges. There is a time and place for relations and that isn't on the subway infront of people. I would have been totally frustrated and would have had them arrested. I'm so glad that here in the US that would be considered public indecency and they would have been punished accordingly. No one has even addressed the possibility of disease and guess what there are disease that can be spread like that; they're called STIs. The person who was unfortunate and sit there could be exposed to a world of nasty things from AIDS to Hepititis. Freaking gross, IMO.
