Airplane passengers tend to ignore safety instructions these days, so flight attendants on a Cebu Pacific Airlines flight came up with an innovative way to get everyone to pay attention: They performed a choreographed safety demonstration dance set to Lady Gaga's "Just Dance" and Katy Perry's "California Gurls."
You can watch the performance here:
I've never flown Cebu, but apparently it's the largest airline in the Philippines and it's known for its gimmicks.
Cebu's Vice President of Marketing Candic Iyog told the Telegraph:
"Cebu Pacific has always been known as a fun airline, we wanted to get the message across to our customers that flight safety doesn't have to be boring. This was an experiment that we hope to repeat and also a chance to showcase the talent of some of our cabin crew staff."
Meanwhile, on a Tatarstan Airlines flight from Turkey to Russia, six passengers had to stand for about five hours because the flight was overbooked. They didn't have seat belts (and the plane did hit turbulence) or access to oxygen masks or life vests in the event of an emergency.
I know who I'm flying with on my next vacation.
What would get you to pay attention to the flight attendants' safety instructions?
