Elisabeth Hasselbeck is not known for her tolerance -- or her intelligence. Today on The View she showed us, yet again, why.
The ladies were discussing a recent study that showed that more women are becoming lesbians later in life. Hasselbeck said that since older men are dating younger women, older women are "forced to go gay," and she thinks that women became gay late in life for companionship -- not sex.

This subject really angers me. You don't " turn " or " become " gay ... You are born that way ..
wow! bad move, Elisabeth!
so why did she go stupid?
why hasent someone sewn her mouth shut already?
Why do people who are not gay find it so important to voice an opinion on why other people are gay?
I understand the desire to understand whether it is the individual's choice versus destiny. But beyond that?
Elisabeth Hasselbeck is not known for her tolerance -- or her intelligence. agreed
Actually, women's sexuality is more fluid than men's throughout their lives. Look up the Kinsey scale. Many women may be predominantly drawn to men early in life and find that shifting over time.
I'm very much attracted to men, but I have begun to have feelings about women that weren't there before (and I'm not even that old!). My family wasn't religious so there's just no merit to the "I was subconsciously gay" argument.
What EH said was dumb, but Joy's explanation oversimplified the trend. Let's get rid of the black-and-white. None of us wants to be put in a box. Labels suck. Thank you ;-)
