Sandra Bullock is looking for "the one." And she wants it to be you. The Oscar-winning actress and New Orleans resident appears in a new PSA that urges people to help out with the catastrophe caused by the BP Oil Spill.
Sandra and celebrities, such as Blake Lively, Lenny Kravitz, and Dave Matthews, are urging people -- like you -- to support an initiative to secure long-term funding to restore and protect the Gulf Coast for future generations of Americans.
Watch what they have to say:
Women of the Storm, which was founded in 2006 by a diverse group of Louisiana women in response to the devastation wrought by Hurricane Katrina, is now rallying to restore America’s Gulf coast in the aftermath of the BP oil crisis.
Women of the Storm explains its new effort:
"The 'Be the One' effort intends to galvanize the nation around the cause of coastal restoration in order to demand that government leaders address this critical issue. By signing this petition, you add your name to the list of Americans demanding a plan, fully funded and implemented, for the restoration of the Gulf of Mexico, its coastlines, and its wetlands."
Sandra Bullock wants you to "Be the One."
Be the one for pelicans, sand castles, sea turtles, raw oysters, and fresh shrimp, healthy flourishing wetlands, shipping and national security, all the people whose livelihoods depend on the Gulf, for long days at the beach, and safe domestic energy.
Visit Restore the Gulf to add your name to the petition.
Will you be the one?
