Sarah? Is that you?
If you're not a Facebook friend of Sarah Palin, then you may not have seen her most recent status update, "Enjoy the video and please support commonsense candidates who will work with you and for you to take back our country."

The attached video, which has been dubbed "a campaign ad for brand Sarah," is called "Mama Grizzlies," and includes audio from the speech Palin gave earlier this year to an anti-abortion group in which she first used the term "Mama Grizzly" as a metaphor for conservative Republican women. Palin now calls on all "Mama Grizzlies" and "Pink Elephants" to stampede Washington.

Check out the video:

Here, excerpts from the speech:

"All across this country, women are standing up and speaking out for common sense solutions. These policies coming out of D.C. right now, this fundamental transformation of America -- well a lot of women who are very concerned about their kids' futures saying we don't like this fundamental transformation and we're going to do something about it."

"It seems like it's kind of a mom awakening in the last year and a half ... Here in Alaska, I always think of the mama grizzly bears that rise up on their hind legs when someone is coming to attack their cubs, to do something adverse toward their cubs. You thought pit bulls were tough, well, you don't wanna mess with the mama grizzlies. Look out Washington, because there's a whole stampede of pink elephants crossing and the ETA for them stampeding through is November 2, 2010."

I'm all for common-sense solutions, but I haven't heard any from Sarah and the girls. Nor does there seem to be any substance to what she's saying. It's Sarah doing what Sarah does best. Talking. About nothing.

And don't conservatives usually object to politicians playing the gender card (or the race card)? Isn't Palin doing just that?
