Hulu has officially announced that Hulu Plus, a premium subscription service buffet, will launch in July. You can get all-you-can-watch access to TV shows and movies for $9.99 a month.
That's cheaper than a movie ticket in most places, but a dollar more expensive than my current subscription to Netflix (which doesn't have an iPhone app but soon will).
But unlike Netflix, where you have to wait until the entire season of your favorite show is over to become available, with Hulu Plus, you can stream in the entire current seasons of shows in HD such as Glee, Modern Family, Grey's Anatomy, Parenthood, Desperate Housewives, Dancing With the Stars, The Biggest Loser, and more. You can also watch past seasons of shows. And you can watch them on your computer, TV, iPad, iPhone, or iPod touch.
A downside: You have to watch ads -- but that gives you a really good excuse to run into the kitchen for snacks.
Have you tried Hulu Plus? Will you get a subscription?
