In January, a beautiful 34-year-old single mother of 16-year-old girls was found brutally beaten and stabbed to death in her Conyers, Georgia, home. The daughters found their mother's body when they returned from school.
Now, police are saying that was all a lie. They have charged the twin daughters with their mother's murder.
Tasmiyah and Jasmiyah Whitehead were charged Friday.
According to some reports, the girls were upset when they were returned to the custody of their mother -- just four days before the murder -- after being raised by their great-grandmother.
The boyfriend of the murdered woman, Jarmecca Whitehead, insists that if the girls did it, they could not have devised it on their own, that they were caught in the middle of something. But police say neither girl seemed surprised and upset when police came to take them into custody.
