Flickr photo by Joe Mac1At a press conference earlier today, Lance Armstrong responded to former teammate Floyd Landis's accusations that he used performance-enhancing drug throughout his career.
Armstrong denied the allegations. (Surprise, surprise.) He said:
"This is a man that's been under oath several times and had a very different version. This is a man that wrote a book that had a completely different version. This is somebody that took, some would say, close to a million dollars from innocent people for his defense under a different premise. And now, when it's all run out, the story changes."
But that wasn't the end of his very bad day.
Armstrong is now out of the Tour of California race. Instead, he's at the hospital getting x-rays, after having been involved in a "huge crash," according to his coach Johan Bruyneel's tweet:
"Sorry to report there was a huge crash, with Chechu and Lance involved. Lance had to abandon and is going to the hospital for Xrays." @ johanbruyneel
