Photo by PETAThe Octomom and PETA are a match made in dog heaven. Normally PETA has its celebrity spokespeople pose naked in their ads (something the Octomom probably would have relished). Instead, Nadya Suleman agreed to place this ad on her front lawn in exchange for $5,000 and a month's supply of veggie burgers and veggie dogs. Hey, she's got a lot of mouths to feed, and she's in danger of losing her house (don't think those animal lovers didn't take all that into account).
Someone at PETA is brilliant. While it's unlikely that enough people cruise by Suleman's house to make PETA's investment worthwhile, the animal rights organization got off cheap -- and got its spay-neuter message in front of millions.
PETA knew Suleman needed the money, knew she'd agree to put the sign on her lawn, and knew every news outlet in the blogosphere (add this one to the list) would run the story of its partnership with Octomom (because she's a faux-lebrity) along with the picture of the ad ... for free.
You're welcome, PETA. The least you could do is send me some veggie burgers. I got mouths to feed too.
What do you think of Octomom's deal with PETA? Do you think her putting the ad on her lawn is dissing her kids? Or is it all in fun for a good cause?
