Now that I admitted to seeking natural highs from closet decluttering, I think it's okay to admit to color-coordinating my clothes in coordinance with the rainbow spectrum.
It's true. The hanging clothes in my closet are organized from red to violet with black on one ened and gray, brown, and white on the other. That means all the orange, yellow, green, blue, and indigo clothes fall in between. Yes, in that order.
Call it crazy. I call it happy.
How do your order the clothes in your closet or is this just insane to you?

i used to color coded them but hubby keeps on messing them up so i gave up =-/ when i get my own closet i'll color coded them =-D
I hang all my clothes by type and then go from light to dark for each type. I also have them organized from lightest piece of clothing to heaviest. (warm weather to cold weather) Bottoms and then tops. I also hang up pieces that go together or that I wear together all the time and put them in order in another section of my closet.
It actually DOES look nice. I have NO clothes hanging in my closet....
I hand them by color, short sleeve,long sleeve,sweaters ..etc. It makes me happy ;)
I arrange them from most coverage to least. Sweaters on one end and tanks on the other :)
Haha, that's cute. My closet layout stinks. I have two small sides to my closet, one side has long sleeved clothes and sweaters and the other side is short sleeved, skirts and dresses.
I really need to clean out my closet and donate clothing.
