Most of us know bleach is an effective household cleaner and laundry aid, but there are still many misconceptions about bleach. Here's a myth and a fact from the makers of Clorox® Bleach about bleach's effects on the environment.
MYTH: Bleach contaminates groundwater and harms the environment.
FACT: Actually, you'd be surprised at how little bleach actually affects the environment. During consumer use and disposal, about 95 to 98 percent of household bleach quickly breaks down into salt and water. The remaining by-products are effectively removed by waste water treatment or household septic systems so that no bleach gets to the environment. So Mother Nature and bleach can live together in perfect harmony.

Cool! I was just going to do a post (a little more detailed) about this, because it is really important! Thank you :)
No bleach in my house thanks.
I'm not a bleach person, cannot stand the smell, now hubby on the other hand loves bleach for cleaning. He's not allowed to use it though when I'm around.
I use bleach all the time. Just dilute it with water and there is little odor. YOU MUST DILUTE IT!! The reason why I use it to clean is that other products leave a stickiness behind. I clean my floors with bleach and I don't have to worry about my slippers sticking to the floor after it dries.
what is the best place/thing to clean with bleach? the bathroom (tub, sink, toilet)?
here's my post:
