Lots of Legos are in my future since we're taking the boys to Legoland over the Thanksgiving break; however, I wasn't expecting to see something so Lego-rific before then — like this Lego kitchen island, found via GeekSugar!
Check out this Lego kitchen designed by Parisian designers Simon Pillard and Philippe Rosetti. It's an IKEA kitchen island covered in more than 20,000 Lego pieces. Wow!

I would go insane if I had to look at that everyday! LOL
Maybe I'd do it for a little toddler table or something, it definitely needs to be on a smaller scale!
Holy Cow - you always have the coolest things on here! I'm not sure this is for me, but how crazy good is this!
WOW! can't imagine putting something hot in it, i won't even eat on it, and let alone let kids near it and try to take pieces out lol
It's not for me, but I do admire the work that must have been involved! Can you image how long it took to make?
My Son and Hubby would go nuts for this! of course, my Son would try to get them off to use! LOL.
Normally I am the one bashing what passes as artistic and coming trend. I love this. I am sure it needs to be coated to handle heat and rough handling, but the colors and inspiration... of course then, think in terms of resale value for your home....
Do it and don't move! I think you'd find renters who love it - not making a forever commitment to it.
I would continue the Lego theme on the seating as well.
Seems like if you were really going to do something like this, you would probably install a regular countertop on it. The one above is more for art's sake, I think.
I love it!!!! hahaha
Wow that's different. Not sure it's my cup of tea. You wouldn't be able to use but it would be a great convo piece. I could see something like this for a side table or buffet or something though. Something where it wouldn't need to be cleaned much or could be moved outside for a hosing down.
